Hi, I've heard only good things about the XBOX 360 controller for the PC. However, the Rs. 1250 I'll have to shell out for it has got me thinking about whether there's anything cheaper out there [but not too far back in terms of quality] I can buy, just so I get to know what playing with a controller is like.

So, for instance, is a Logitech Dual Action or Rumblepad 2 competitive enough? & are they any cheaper? What are the market prices for the same?

I'm planning to play soccer & cricket mainly [no racing games]. Also, having a controller will enable two-player gameplay, right? [the other controller being a keyboard]. Of course, this is my very 1st such controller.

Thanks.

IMHO the XBOX 360 Unit is far superior, build, finish, ruggedness.

If the price seems high, just post a [WTB] - want to buy in the market section for a second hand unit, you might just get lucky m8!

I'm using the Controller for over a Year and a few months. My 3 year old son found it easy to use. And guess what we play gmes like FIFA, Ashes, NFS, Street Fighter 4. It has still Survived all the beathing and thrashing. Even will give you the "Vibrations". Dont even look for anything else, even if the same is by microsoft. Remember you can play with it if its compatible with your game. XBOX 360 Controller Settings is a Standard to all Games.

hey dude...i had a similar query a few days back. and i bought an xbox controller. its worth the price. i sugg u go for it. its good fun to play racing games. its pretty good for fifa as well. there is very little scope for 'rumble' anyways in fifa. so don worry abt the feedback part. its even got a 9 foot cord. in a nutshell, a good investment.

you can take the genius Maxfire G-12U gamepad.. I bought it for around 700 bucks in Jan this yr.. so it'll cost around 500-600 bucks at most at present.. It's really really good for that price.. considering u don't want to spend too much on the xbox controller.. I would still suggest u to save up and go for the xbox controller itself.. But if u can't, then this should be ur choice without even thinking..
