Right... so for the first time I'm planning to finally invest in a full tower cabinet...getting a gift from my elder Brother for Durga Puja!:)

I'm going on Monday to buy it and need suggestions. Which one should I go for?

I have these in mind:

1. CM HAF 932
2. CM Cosmos
3. CM Stacker

Which one is worth investing in? I will stick to this cabinet for a long time so want to take a right decision. Please recommend with your reasons.

TIA

HAF 932. Its the best among the lot, specially for high-end rigs. Only problem is that it has no dust filter. Else buy Storm Sniper like I did. Around 10K from Prime. No regrets.

^Why not a Lian Li may I ask? The Cosmos would set you back by around 14k IINM? Invest the amount in a Lian Li and you get a beautiful hand-crafted Al enclosure.

The fact that this's going to be a sort of a long-term investment makes the Lian Li a perfect buy!

Aaah... the HAF 932 seems awesome I agree.

@ Gannu:

I knew, knew, knew you would suggest a Lian Li mate. :D

Please keep the suggestions coming in folks...

i'll say CM ATCS 840 costs a lil bit more than COSMOS & is one of the best tower cases out there in the market today.

Personally I don't really like the CM ATCS 840. Looks very bland, don't think I'll grow into liking it with time.

All the Lian Li full towers are supposed to blow away CM and the Antecs away from proportion. It is just the 1 month waiting period which might deter away some potential buyers who'd want to pickup a case soon enough.

Stay away from the HAF932. So long as you haven't lifted one, you've no idea how heavy the steel enclosure is. Not that you'd want to carry it to a Lanparty either but that enclosure is way to heavy for any full tower.

Yes, I know the weight factor on the HAF932 is a major deterrent. I don't get into the dust magnet thing but the weight bothers me. It's a bit of a beast ain't it?

Tell me something, when compared to the HAF 922, dimension-wise the HAF 932 seems a tad bigger but people say it's mighty big?

It indeed is beefy. It just wont hold a candle to Lian Li towers whatever angle you look at it. :P

A 5k extra premium for a full tower which's all Al with the brushed Al exteriors, almost close to 100% tool-less design, removable motherboard tray, nifty little features like cable management holders, decent fans with the package and so forth. Heck a Lian Li is just worth it, period!

Okay, okay... I realize you love Lian Li!! :D

But I just love the beefy, clunky look of the HAF 932 ever since I saw it. Have you seen a HAF932 upfront? Is it really massive? I haven't seen one except for the 100's of photos on the internet I've drooled on. My friend Sabby and Robo know... my craziness about a HAF!! :bleh:

^Dont get me wrong! I'm not advertising them here. Nor for phoenix either.

I've seen a HAF. Except the cooling offered by the enclosure, there's nothing much to brag about as I see. Besides I have this personal hatredness towards the HAF since long. :D

buy HAF 932 or NZXT Tempest

but i strongly recommend Antec 1200

all CM except HAF Series & all Lian-Li except PC-343B & PC-A70 (non F) are horrible looking beyond believe

Best thing about HAF 932 is the cooling. 3 mighty 200-240 mm fans.
One in front for intake. ONE AT SIDE for intake(Very few have large fans at the side). One on top for exhaust. This is over and above the rear ones for exhaust. Awesome. It was a tough choice for me between this and Storm Sniper. Finally lack of dust filters made HAF 932 lose out. Storm Sniper is the LARGEST Mid tower, larger than most full towers.

Aaah... the Antec 1200 is excellent. Just saw a review for it on Youtube. How much is priced at it in Kolkata?

My suggestion would be a Lian Li. Much better build quality though looks are a personal matter.

Among the CMs shortlisted by you, the HAF seems to be the best. I have installed a HAF for someone but I personally don't like it. Dust magnet but that doesn't seem to be an issue with you :).

Nice! So can you tell me something... is the HAF much better than the mighty Stacker?

Better in overall cooling, and that Red LED wins hands down. However lack of dust filter does it in.
