Saw Hyper 6+ yesterday... Wondering how good is it compared to XP 120... Its available here for approx 3K... Relatively new...

Also available is Hyper 48 but i doubt it will be as good as AMD stock...
 
How good is it compared to XP 120... And if enough guys are there i can try to get a good deal on the cooler...
 
Its a silent cooler unless u replace the stock fan with something more powerful. The performance is not as good as an XP120 but not bad either.
 
just watch out with the weight. it is listed at nearly 800 gms (without fan) !!!, so installation has to be perfect ,meaning do not tighten the screws too much, else the m/b will bend. and if you leave the screws loose then the contact between the base and the cpu will not be perfect, so take ur time and do the installation in a relaxed manner. preferably remove the m/b outside the case and do it.
The new version is some Cu / Al alloy fins.(slightly lighter in weight). the previous version was full CU.
performance = very good.
 
I am not buyig it deejay.. just posting it here thatits available here in India now :)...Those who are looking to overclock thier systems may want this...
 
wow it has sock 478 support (i think that is for the intel northwoods...right)?

pls tell me some coolermaster dealers in chennai/hyd..will get it straight away.

oh i c. i thought from the tone of ur post that the purchase is Imminent.;) :)
anyways it (weighty issues) can be applicable to all the prospective buyers ...
 
The installation of these heavy coolers must be precise. Thats the only problem with these.

If you do not screw it properly its bad, if you screw it too tightly, its bad.

Also Hyper48 is very good. but same problem of weight applicable for it but it has lower centre of gravity so less risky.
 
Its pretty Big. I would rather get a XP-90 or 120.
Since ive already ordered my XP-90, i wont argue, this is a lil' biased :P.
 
the problem is TR products are not available locally. CM are. Hyper48 is way better than Asus starice or even coolermaster Ultra vortex.

Im getting my XP-90 thru my uncle :D. Coming on 9th October. Will post a personal review then.
No1's tested it on a Pentium D :P.
