How much more fu**ed up can Indian ministers get? Not only him, but many other people who were just standing and looking at the brave cop die. Out of all the people there, the journo who shot the video should be beaten like hell. The bloody idiot has the time to shoot the video but no time to pick up the man and take him to the hospital?? :@

Very sad indeed, I couldn't watch the video. These bugger DMK ****heads are the curse of Tamilnadu (PMK and Ramdoss being the second curse)

This has boiled my blood to no end. F**k man how can this happen and how can anyone let this happen. I haven't felt worse and as helpless in a long time. Why the f**k can't we do something about this!!

This country must no longer exist ! I am an Indian and I'm ashamed of it.

This just runs chills down my spine to hear this Mother****er giving excuses for letting someone's husband, son and father die like that.

I really wish the 2012 theory makes its way to reality and this thing like India should never come to existence again.

Such pathetic state of affairs!!

Probably not the right place to say this but I wonder if something like this can ever happen in Mumbai?

Blood boils watching it, it even boils more knowing you cant do anything about it. Its the ultimate morale buster for an already over burdened police force. Cant stop thinking about his family.

Ohh god!! it was really very sad and shameful....

And that guy said that we had done out best to save the police man...

Its really makes feel shame to be an Indian, if we have this kind of spirit for our people itself...

I did not get the bit where he says there were bombs on the road. Presumably one of them is what did this poor cop in. But then how did they get to the scene, minister & journalist but were somehow unable to help the man :(

in no way am i trying to excuse those onlookers, but i have read about that "public apathy effect" (not sure what its called) where in such situations where there is a crowd that can help but they remain silent spectators. perhaps those people were too shocked/afraid of hurting the injured cop at that moment to think straight... whatever the reality of the situation, the govt better do something to compensate any family/dependents (least they can do now)...

edit: its for such things we're proud to be taxpayers (in the least way we can help) and you feel cheated when you see govt corruption/incompetence in other areas/instances...

Sheer incompetence! That instinct is exactly what separates man from beasts, they merely watched as he died a slow and painful death. I dunno how the onlookers can ever sleep anymore.

I think term you are looking for is 'Bystander Effect'.

I knew I would avoiding all future visits to Chennai, this just made my resolve stronger.

Condolences to the officers family.

those fools did not want to dirty their well washed cars. The most shocking part was the police too was just standing there and just lookin, typical Indian tendency"just stand and watch".Hope they burn in hell for this shit.
