Anyways, I think u shud go for a LGA 1156 based Xeon, the 2.53GHz one with HT comes for 11.5k if u order it via KMD from newegg.. From there, there wont be any future upgrade path for LGA 1156... atleast till Sandy Bridge comes out.

again, if u plan on upgrading in one year, get a vfm product. In case of AMD, dont shell out too much on mobo. Go for a vfm mobo now, in case u upgrade proccy in future, an AMD 800 series chipset would be better. So spending too much on mobo would be a waste.
