Correct Vernier Caliper Reading?

I unearthed a vernier caliper amongst my old engineering books and decided to use it to measure the thickness of the side panel of my Coolermaster USP 100 case to input the data into my review of the case.

I took some snaps of the measurement and the summation of the readings I took--kindly correct them if they happen to be wrong---I forgot how to use the vernier caliper and I don't want to go through the textbooks to find it.(excellent example of a bad student!)

Is the right thickness of the steel panel 0.82 mm ?

The sliding scale divides each of the smallest divisions on the main scale into 20 equal parts. The smallest division on the main scale is 1mm. So the smallest reading possible on it = 1/20 = 0.05mm.

Looking at the pic the point where the divisions coincide at around the 17th division (can't really make out but its between the 8 and 10 marks on the sliding scale).

So it would be 0 + 1 + 17*0.05 = 1.85mm
