Cowon D2+ screen turns off while charging

Hi all i am facing a weird problem with my cowon d2+.I have 2.11 firmware installed in it.When ever i charge the player through USB or wall charger the screen turnoff after 4 or 5 mins.Its become impossible for me to know when the battery gets full charged.This issue started out of no where,i tried the following steps still nogo

1) Tried loading default settings
2) Cleared the entire memory and installed the firmware again
3) Reset the entire player

Please help me solving this issue

What is the need to have the display on all the time. You can check once every 30 minutes?

Go to Display settings in main menu and Turn off "LCD Auto Off" option.
 
Did u even bother to read the topic ??.

I am facing a problem while charging not while using it.The LCD auto turn off is set to turn off.
 
1) You can hold the hold rocker to the left like the way you use it to turn the device on to see the charge status
2) D2+ automatically displays "fully charged" message once the charge is complete
3) If you want to keep an eye on the charge when connected to PC, the only way is to use it in MTP so that you can monitor the charge statue.

Unfortuntaly, there is nothing in the settings that can keep the LCD on while plugged in to AC outlet unless you are playing music. :)

btw, did you try charging the player without turning it off?
 
When you move the power button to right,the screen will display the charge status. ( Every D2 screen turns off after a certain time while charging)

When you are charging the player through charger, you can use the same option as above, but one enhancement you get is that press M button to view the menu and even you can use the player :)

Okay lemme explain the problem in detail.Earlier in MSC mode when i used to plug in my d2(without turning off),It used to display charging and after the battery fully charged it used to display the message,from the past 1 week its not happening.I did not change any settings.

In MTP mode it displays wrong info even when the battery is totally dead it shows battery status as 100%.

The screen turns off after 4 or 5 mins while charging and none of the keys work.The player is not in hold position.
 
Installed 2.10 ,still the same issue is occurring .I don't know WTF is happening :S

Edit:Its working :D.Thanks desiibond for helping me out.It would be great of you if u can get me any custom firmware .
 
I will give it a try.Btw i tried installing rockbox,thenvk gave me all the info but it failed.I used to get some weird error message while booting,tried searching info in iaudiophile but couldn get much help.I will try installing rockbox again.

As of now i am trying to install 2.11 again and if the issue persists i will either downgrade to 2.10 or install the korean firmware coz i dont use MSC mode at all.

Edit: Update,I installed the korean firmware 3.11 and the issue is fixed.Now time to install some flash themes :D
