CPU/Mobo cpu error ?

Well i am using biostar mobo with via chipset {dual core 1.6ghz } .I am

getting a error message at start up " cpu settings has been changed please

re-enter cpu settings " and when i try to enter cmos settings pc hangs

and i have to restart pc again and again .

Does anyone has a solution for it its a new motherboard .

I have updated the bois version {0.9.0.3} but still there is no help .

try resetting bios by pressing "r" key or whatever key needed to reset it (the specific key is written in the mobo manual), just when u power up the pc.

see if the cmos battery is properly placed or the jumpers are placed properly

Well i have removed dual core [1.6ghz] and i am using p4 on

the same motherboard and there are no more cpu error messages at start up .

most probably its a bios error....chec ur cpu on anoder mobo...preferably a intel chipst one and see if it wrks flawlesssly dere

Its working on intel original motherboard D945GCNL with no errors on start up .

but why is not working on biostar mobo ?

dude update to 524288..the version no u specified is for the updater program...
