Hi guys, I am making a new PC for my brother and wondering what can I do with around 35-40k. I only need CPU,RAM,Mobo and a decent cabinet that isnt heavy and can fit my h110 watercooler. I got a spare 1050 ti that I will use temporarily.

Mainly looking for something like 3600 with B550 so that I can later upgrade graphics card with pcie 4.0 as well as the processor if needed. Oh I also have RM750x power supply so wont need that too.

Main functions will be Virtualization and some unity etc(his hobby) with casual 1080p gaming. Looking to purchase before dec 15th. So advice would be awesome. I am from Sikkim so will probably get parts from Online/Kolkata.

Many thanks and all advice would be helpful.

You can't fit R5 3600 in this budget. Other than cpu, board, ram and cabinet he will also need monitor, hdd/ssd right?

For you the best option will be an i5-10400f with a B460 motherboard and 2x8GB of DDR4 RAM (14+7+5k). There is no use case for PCIE4 SSDs right now and unlikely for the near future in sub 50k builds due to price/performance reasons. Ryzen 3600 is unfortunately overpriced right now and the10400f beats it without any doubt:

If you really want more cores for virtualization, then get either the Ryzen 2700/2700x (19-21k) and a B550 board: https://mdcomputers.in/motherboards?sort=p.price&order=ASC&bfilter=a380:4096;

This is a good case: https://www.vedantcomputers.com/coo...argb-transparent-side-panel-black?search=mesh with a mesh front and microATX compatibility. IF you want to go lower, then get K501L: https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/cases/mid-tower/masterbox-k501l/

You can check prices online at mdcomputers and vedantcomputers.

I have a spare WD 2TB that I was planning to give to him. But can consider SSD too. Nothing else is needed as I got everything else.

Thanks a lot. Actually the 3600 is a gift so no options there. And yeah I need a decent b550 motherboard in 12-13k range, because he will upgrade to better graphics card in future also maybe get 5600x or any of the 5000 series later on if possible. Can you suggest a good b550 board and ram?

In that case, yeah you can get it.
B550 TUF Gaming M Plus or M Steel Legend.
For memory sticks, any popular brand will do. Go for 3200mhz or higher. Recently saw a listing for 3600mhz 2x8GB kit for 5650/-. 3200 or 3600mhz all cost about the same.
Kingston A2000 250GB costs about 3.5k.

Nice the TUF gaming is within my budget. 12-13k for Mobo. What does the M stand for? Also dont need RGB or Wifi (not sure if mobo wifi gives same speed as my router, either way got a router).

That M stands for mATX, size of the board. ATX board don't have that M in the name and ITX have "I" in the name.
