@metalspree & @xerocool: IMHO it's better to spend a little to get it fixed from a service centre (unofficial might work too). While replacing batteries is quite easy, replacing LCDs or trying to fix stuff on the logic board isn't really a good idea unless you have prior DIY experience (with solder guns etc). You could end up frying some small but critical component.
