Crazy discounts on steam, but do indian credit cards work?

You get charged around 3% conversion charge and service tax over the current exchange rate.
True.

@jc36lect3r: When my friend bought games on steam the dollar rate was 1$ = 47 Rupees approx. After the charge and tax it came to 1$ = 49 Rupees approx. That is what i mentioned in my previous post.

Hmm.... then I have to recheck my card statements, but I do not recall seeing any significant deviations in the bill and the purchase amount. But then again, 3% is not very significant..

Varies. One CC may mention it as all inclusive while the other may list it as a separate field.

some how my MW is stuck in 30-40% since one day.........i think everyone is downloading MW so thats getting bottlenecked......... now started downloading COD5 WAW too...........

works, my friend bought the cod pack 2 days ago.

Btw, games once downloaded can be saved? So if tomorrow I format my system, can I restore the game files or will I have to download them again?

I think there is an option in steam to backup local game files. I am not sure what that does exactly maybe it just saves your save games or your settings , someone who has used it maybe can shed more light.

There is a very simple way to backup Steam games. Just make a copy of the Steam folder, and restore it after format. Run Steam.exe from within the folder and you will have all the games. I have never used the Backup Local Content feature so can't tell how it works, but this method works like a charm..

@jc36lect3r: At what price did you buy the COD Pack? Was it 24.99$ or 29.99$? Today I checked steam and it is listed at 29.99$. I thought it was 24.99$. Was it 29.99$ from day one of the sale? Did they increase the price?

Yes, I bought it at $29.99, and I bought it on the first day of sale, so I think you got it mixed up with some other discounts :)
Possible that I mixed it up with some other price:). I am planning to buy this pack. Did you find online servers with good ping for MW and WaW? Did u try the co-op mode in WaW? How does it work? Can you play the single player campaign in four player co-op mode? I am planning to play online co-op.

I read on wikipedia that All DLCs released for console versions of MW and WaW are given free for PC users with latest patches. Is it true? did you get all the DLCs (map packs)?
