I had the set...amazingly good for PC speakers. Very clear mid range and vocals. They aren't as good as the MX5021 AFA extreme highs go, but the bass is very punchy, goes pretty low down. And they can go loud...

Bought em for around 34K some 3+ years back for my large living room (65'x45'), they were used for music back then... Moved em on to my PC later, build quality's good except for the woofer footpads

I sold em for 14K to a friend just last year. Reason being the whole wire thing got a little irritating.

Not worth 34K IMO today. You can pick up a NAD stereo amp and a couple of Jamo floorstanders that'll punch the crap outta them...may cost a little more than 35K though.

edit - The z5500 aren't worth it either. Besides I found sound quality on the z5300 to be better, not sure why...@ 10K the z5300 is a good 5.1. The best of the 2.1's remains the mx5021.

Anyone owes this wonderful set of THX speakers?

I do...haven't got it in my siggy though
