wowowowow......when i first read the Title of the therad, i was a little astounded to say the least and then after reading all the article, dont ya think it is a Bit impractical?

Its possible for me once if i get my hands on all the required hardware.
We deal with all sorts of programming in our engg. so coding is no probs.
Infact everything is available when it comes to the software part.

Yeah. Those standard LCD programs are available on the net for free download. Wiring the damn thing is a problem, cuz if you go wrong there, you could simply fry your Parallel port

not exactly detailed. in the circuit diagram he gave, which wires came from the parallel port?

This isn't really the best tutorial to make the LCD panel. I've seen another tut, which taught how to wire up the entire thing from scratch, and also design a keypad, to flip through your playlist,......
