hello guys,
need help in choosing a good credit card where i can get maximum reward points for international purchases (e.g. paypal)
currently i had icici titanium insta credit card which gave me 10 reward points(25 paise value of each point) on 100 equivalent of INR(after converting from other currency) spent on paypal. sadly due to less security features on the card, that card has been disabled and they dont have the titanium card anymore.

anyone on the forum using a card closer to the above in terms of benefits please suggest.

regards,
Vrishi.

HDFC Regalia - 2% charges for foreign currency conversion instead of usual 3.5%. I have stopped using PayPal's rates because the rates provided by the bank are much cheaper due to this card.
4 points for every 150Rs. spent but the good thing is you can use these points to book flight tickets, hotel rooms and movie tickets from HDFC website. On this website 1pt = 75 paise.

any other mode of point redemption? i think 1 point is equal to 75 paise right? alos please confirm 4(minimum) points on 150 spent on all purchases right?

Other modes of redemption are via the catalog. I remember croma voucher worth 1k being for 2620 points.
I majorly use my points for booking flight tickets for my family.

I mentioned this card because you will get more benefits due to less conversion fees. I spend upwards of 3L every month on PayPal so it helps me a lot, much more than the reward points. With my kinda usage, I have been able to amass enough points to get flight tickets booked for Thailand for the entire family, just by points only in 1 year.

Regalia has an annual charge of 5K, but it will be waived if you exceed certain amount of usage in a year.

A benefit for this card is that you get 8 points per 150Rs if you spend it via their website. As already mentioned, you can also use points to pay and the site offers a conversion rate of 75 paise per point. In case you want to redeem points via catalog the conversion comes out to be around 40 paise per point.
