Two things first.

1: i was unsure abt where to put this thread..whether on the Graphics card section or the Gaming section :S ? finally i decided to put it here...since i wanted to show how a Ge Force 7 series card can handle Crysis (pretty well..well..may be not as efficiently as a GeForce 8..but no less  )

2: i was also thinking abt putting or merging this thread with the "NVIDIA Releases New Windows XP Drivers" thread, since i had made a comment on Crysis there on how it performs on my card..and it went haywire :S ...so i decided to put all doubts to rest and make a detailed analysis on the game with my card..so i thought abt putting it to the test or shud i say, "The Ultimate Test" (since its Crysis v r talking abt)

So here goes nothing...:S :ashamed:

COMMON SETTINGS

First i started the game with the common settings like adjusting the movement and combat options. And then i kept a base resolution of 1024*768, AA turned OFF, Full screen enabled which i kept the same for all LOW,MEDIUM and HIGH settings (in the Advanced section) and the default settings for COLOR and the HUD.The pictures for common settings are as shown below:

LOW SETTINGS

Then i started with the low settings keeping everything low in advanced section, monitoring the CPU and PF usage as well and since GPU temp was a normal 61 degrees i didn't feel the need to take a screenshot..The pictures for LOW settings are as shown:

MEDIUM SETTINGS

Then i started with the medium settings keeping everything medium, monitoring the CPU and PF usage and the GPU Temperatures. The pictures for MEDIUM settings are as shown:

HIGH SETTINGS

Then i started with the high settings keeping everything high, monitoring the CPU and PF usage and the GPU Temperatures. The pictures for HIGH settings are as shown:

Pardon me, if i have made any kind of mistakes anywhere, as this is my first big and detailed thread :ashamed: . i will answer any more queries if u guys are having any...and by the way..Crysis ran quite smoothly on my GPU on LOW and MEDIUM settings and a bit jerky on HIGH Settings...and frankly speaking the hype on Game's gfx IMO is over rated...

I hope this gives some hope for Ge Force 7 series card holders.......

so buddy..how is the performance u r gettng??upload some screenshotss,.,I m eager to know,since I got setteled wid a 7300gt-512ddr2

Hey,

What's the framerate u get in Medium Settings on Crysis?

It's cool dat u r able to run Crysis at high even on a 7600GS.:hap2:

most of ur screenshots(@high settings) seem to be taken during night time...try taking some during daytime or just at sunrise...also keep running FRAPS in the background..it will give everybody an idea of how much fps ur getting...

thank u guys :thanx: :yahoo: :bounce: for ur opinions and suggestions ....man :S :S took a hell lot of patience to take those screenshots and upload them.....didn't know how to upload those pix in the thumbnail format.........

nxt time i will install FRAPS and c how much FPS i m getting.........

and btw i got these settings and display by updating and installing the latest NVidia drivers version 169.21 WHQL for XP :)

Run the executable with this "-devmode", you should get the fps in crysis itself.
Also with this if you hit F1 you get Third Person Chase view !!!

i wud like to add something more i forgot to add in the first thread and bfore i start receiving doubtful comments, i think i shud mention this.i played this game without m****** any files and wotever pix i have posted are true pix frm my comp and not bogus in anyway...

One more point i wud like to add is the fact that in the medium settings the GPU temperature increased by 4 degrees Celcius and fluctuated between 65 to 66 degrees and in the high settings the GPU temperature increased by 4 degrees more and fluctuated between 69 and 70 degrees respectively.....

these r the links...

Medium:[img=http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/1348/med5ai2.th.jpg]

High:[img=http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/469/hi6iq3.th.jpg]

i have a 7600GT and i am very very disappointed in the performance...i can kind of play at medium settings but when the action becomes intense it lags like hell... mind you this is the only game my 7600GT is unable to play.. i stopped playin coz of the performance... maybe next year when i get a new ATI 3870 X2.. i'll play it :)

as suggested by u...i m posting a screenshot frm the game during the day time...here r the screenshots...

the above image shows the FPS frm the game's inbuilt benchmarking tool.....

This one has been taken during the day time...........

the surprising part abt the game is that i was quite astonished to play the game watery smooth even on 10-11 fps........hard to believe.......

will keep this thread updated for more.........

@balkazaar
Dude .......put a a nice big fan ...on your passively cooled 7600GS.......overclock the card.

This will give you even better fps
