CS: Anthology and Source

Hi,

I am planning to start playing CS but am not sure which one of these to get CS Source or CS Anthology?

What is the difference between the 2? Is Source just a revamped engine of CS Anthology?

counter strike source is remake of the original game with updated gfx,sound etc. the anthology contains all the versions of counter strike games including source as well

CS anthology does NOT contain source

cs anthology has cs 1.6 and condition zero only.

cs 1.6 is best amongst all.....all wclan is based on it....is bug free. czero suxx on contrary....with insane recoils and fire somewer n hit somewer.

I would like to suggest you to play CS 1.6 and CSCZ.. I think both versions are better than Source for Online Play...

I'd bought the CSS box last year on a whim but never activated the key on Steam because I don't play CS.
It was lying unused and unopened until a couple weeks ago when I felt like playing... surprise, surprise, the key from my unopened box was already registered on another account.

Steam ****ing sucks.

Well different opinions, but cs 1.6 looks too old to me now, source looks much better graphically and sounds alike, I enjoy playing source much more than 1.6 now. 1.6 had its time, not any more, but thats just me!
