Customized Coffee Mugs

Got a mail from "myntra.com" saying u get a 250 bucks discount coupon upon registration which can be used to buy a customized coffee mug. So I registered n ordered for the mug after customization, shipping costs 50 bucks though. Here's the pic of the mug, got it in exactly 3 days!
The quality of the mug is not too bad either...

What image size is bare minimum for good quality print ? Will a 1024 X 768 wallpaper do ? The sites says minimum 300 Dpi .. Even the highest reso images I have are 72 Dpi :S .
