Heard the theme song for CWG composed by A R Rehman. Very western and very bad. C'mon why can't we have something traditional ... Something unique? Why does it always have to be soo bollywoodish? The choreography itself was very bad like as if we are watching some performance in any other Indian awards.
I feel India should showcase/promote their own culture not the one which India has adapted over the years.

They are currently banned from competing in international events pending the payment of a fine for doping offences.
The fine amounts to a few hundred thousand dollars which they haven't been able to pay. Until now that is.. The OC of the CWG has given a zero percent interest loan so they can pay off the fine and become eligible to compete again.
The head of the weightlifting federation has gone on record saying that he expected the Indian lifters to come home with a big haul of medals.
Is there no limit to how far we'll fall?

Is not everything a joke these days -- for our government. The law and judiciary process is just a sham. Heck even Raju from Satyam is out [most of the stay was in the hospital for heart attack / problems, but some doctors have cited him as having no heart trouble] on bail. Yes, running a country/nation is no joke, but at least run it corruption free. I literally dread/sh$$ my pants each time I have to walk into a government office for any type of work. Just does not happen without bribing. I can bet you guys, not a thing will happen to Kalmadi/CWG OC and the middle men dealers/vendors who have made a bomb via kick backs, graft, and erroneous tenders/RFIs.chiron said:

The main showcase for the opening ceremony will be a balloon which was procured for a hefty amount (again crores). IF it is slightly windy or rainy it will not function. Who the heck was advising these guys. Literally dumb idiots are running the show. Even a 10 year old child living in Delhi knows that the weather in October can be rainy/windy. It shocks me -- the dumbness of our ministers.
