This is a thread to discuss anything related to Dante's Inferno. Anyone started playing it yet?

I have had decent expectations for this title although the graphics looked pretty crappy in the trailers. Game Trailers trashed it too bad in its review. However people who played the game commented there that its pretty decent.

I completed the game a few days back. I loved the game. For a fan of this genre, this game was a carnal relief for me. For all those crying in pain over it being a God of War rip-off could cool their head off with in their GOW3 demo. This game is not bad at all. I tend to disagree with the Gayspot rating, which I don't give a flying rat's ass anyway.

I loved visual presentation of the game. The whole hell'ish effect is really innovative and the boss fights were very refreshing. Enemy line up was again distinguished. Visceral games has really put a great deal of work into creating these freakish monsters. I saw the making of the "unbaptised baby" video which I unlocked towards the end, they actually bought a baby on the set and did a mo-cap of him. Now that's quite a task I would say.

The end boss was a sheer b**ch and took me nearly 3 hours (with countless re-tries) to defeat all his forms. Won't spoil more, but this game is definitely a must play.

WARNING: Please make sure you play it alone and not when family members are around. It has great deal of nudity and I had a nasty experience when my mom walked in during Beatrice's cut-scene. :ashamed:

Btw the game's down somewhere in the long list of titles I'm yet to complete! :ashamed:

I have heard that first third of the game is epic but game loses thereafter anyways i'll rent this game.

Well, this is the "Gaming" section and not "PC gaming" section, so I guess anything related to gaming in general goes here. :P Consoles section is for discussing anything thats specific to console hardware.

Anyway, I tried the demo yesterday and realized how biased a game review can get. It copied the GOW in a lot of respects, but it still has its own unique style and story. The blood and gore in the demo is a lot less than I expected, but its still a must buy game for me.

Actually, if you read the sub-description of this section, it states "Discuss about games for PC in this section. All out gaming discussion." ;)

Hey, don't hate the player, hate the game. :bleh:

I wish it was on PC as well, but sigh we get very low dosage of hack-en-slash titles on PC these days. But the game ran consistently at 60fps on the 360 and no technical issues plagued it whatsoever.
 
have the iso but i'll hafta get a few DLs to burn this & others that i've (AVP).
just not getting the time to buy a few DLs.:(
 
Is this a good rental ? Is Bayonetta better than this i have heard the environment are better in Dante's Inferno.I haven't played GOW so i need a hack and slash before the big one.

I need to finish a game before 26th Feb after i'll have all my hands filled up.

Bayonetta is easily way better than this. The combat system is extremely dynamic and the move list is exhaustive. The levels design and the boss fights are also great. I'm surprised you haven't played God of War despite of owning a PS3. Do you plan to play God of War 3 without playing the earlier versions?

Get God of War collection ASAP. It will be worth the journey.

Also when you say "would be a good rental", do you mean you have rental facility for these games?

That's a tough question. I haven't actually got time to spend with Darksiders that much and hence won't be able to comment. I have just tried like half an hour of Darksiders and that's about it.
 
I have subscribed to moviemart and they provide PS3 games on rent at cheap rate and yes i have not played God of war ,i'll rent Gow Collection but the problem is that i'm no brainer when comes to Hack and Slash and also didn't like DMC thats the reason i wanted a easy to play hack and slash game.

Are you guys sure that it is not coming on the PC ?
I do not want to spend 2.4K again on this game but I want to see all those naughty moments ;)

I think its coming on the PC.

I agree man. :( Last one I played was DMC 4, which was quite a while back.
