PC Peripherals Darn, why does upgrading cost more than buying new ?

I just was adding up, initially I needed a mobo + CPU for my office so I gave mine & decided in a way to upgrade mine, I had 865 Intel + 3 ghz + 512 ddr

Inch by I went in adding my upgrade list & lo:

Asus A8N-SLI Premium - 11,300

AMD 3500+ - 12,200

512 x 2 transcend @400mhz - 5000

17 sony LCD - 19,500

ATI X300SE - 3,300

S.Lanboy + Antec Smartpower 450 - 5457 + 4692

Soyo cd drive tray card reader - 1836

Artic silver 5 - 690

120 mm trilight fan - 1,824

TOTAL - 65,799/-

only HDD's + audigy remain old now not so old i.e.). Is there a market or place where I can sell my old stuff when I buy new ? I mean whenu guys upgrade what do you do with the old stuff ? do you sell it ? like suppose I wanna tomorrow sell the amd 3500+ & buy an upgrade what do I do ?

where did u buy that from ? Prime ? and is it antec ?

Therez a market at TE :D , anyway generally try selling it to the comp dealer whom your buying ur stuff from or ask him to give you the contact of a second hand dealer in your locality(therez always one ) , though u wud get very low prices , the best bet wud be to sell an end user .
 
ya its antec - got it from prime, actually exchanged it for the normal 120 mm which comes as rear for s.lanboy for which they gave me 500 bucks.

if anyone know gud 2nd hand dealer it would be helpful (I am sure some of u guys must be regularly upgrading.

like I sold foll stuff to the hardware guy who supplies me & look what I got (I am sure I can get better or is it)

3 rams (128 MB each - 1 of P2 + 1 SD for P4 + 1 DDR) = total 800

SIS AGP 32mb - 300

LG Flatron 17" - 2000

P2 + cabinet + p2 cabby + old psu = 1000

SB Live 5.1 - 1 year old (still waiting to sell but he says not more than 500) ???

iball cabby 10 days old with 3 scratches - 1000 (got it for 1500) :(

PS - can some one tell me what is the meaning of the nickels shown in each post right corner ? :lick:

I still have my 7 year old Cyrix M2, dont know why but i dont like to sell my old computers.
 
thanx for the info Ragin, anyway the guys done a lot of effort shuffling my hardware exchange tantrums so be it & + the price info I get from TE & dealers thru TE I squeeze him as it is :2guns:
 
Hmm...dunno, but the prices seem a bit high....

had gone to lammy today,,,nd a combo of 3500+ nd winfast mobo costs 15,600 ...

The premium was 10,500/- a month back!!:S
And the rest of the stuff could be bought cheaper too!!

The rates i quote r the least quoted by certain reputed dealers known to overcharge in lieu of their good service !!:hap2:
So there are other good dealers too who will quote lesser if you strike a good rapport, or have a good reference and bargain!!:clap:
