Data Card or home Wifi network

Ok, this is basically for my dad's laptop.I'm debating between the Tata Indicom Datacard or a home wifi setup.The Datacard has pretty limited schemes like 500mb-1gb limits a month for around Rs 500-650/- a month.

Now, the thing is, my dad doesn't travel much with the laptop, he does use the desktop's connection at home for quite sometime and so does my sister.

Now, my question is, will it be feasible to use a datacard for the wireless connection or setup an unlimited download wifi network at home?

speeds on data card is pretty low i have used indicom, reliance and presently i am using Airtel(999 unlimited pm) and it takes a lot of time to open a simple page. Also the prices they charge is too much i would suggest setting up a Wi-Fi network as it comes out more economical and offer better speed and its UNLIMITED
