If possible refer a good data recovery software (free)

Get data back just shows the file and folders what i have now (after formatting)
It didnt even show single which i had b4 formatting...

Any other???

Toolstar_FileRecovery_Pro_3.5 is the best after format ..For me it recoverd almost 100%..Try it but it the paid software

Tried with EASY RECOVERY PROFESSIONAL...
But not able to open a single file (Even documents, image file, etc,..
Do i need some software or something to open them or what???

Please need a solution...

check rtt studio softwares. They are great too but not free. And dont touch (write/ copy) any data on that hdd now as long as u are not satisfied with recovery results....

Do anyone thinking that my HDD(may be files) could have been corrupted (cause of that i am not able to view or open the files which i recovered)???

was this a quick format or a real, slow one??? also which filesystem is it? NTFS FAT ext3etc...

i have had some success with the bootable cd of 'Active@ File Recovery' for recovering an accidentally quick formatted hard disk. i recovered lots of files without their real names but the files were ok but a lot of jpgs it recovered were not working

Its NTFS format...
Usual formatting (which takes long time), not a quick format.
I am recovering files which is too old but the thing is i am not able open them up...

I accidently formatted my hard drive two weeks back. I recovered it by using "file recovery for Windows" by seagate.

The precaution you have to take is that U save the recovered data on another disk.

First of all, once u format a HDD completely, the chance of recovering data lessens as compared to a quick format.
Secondly, u should not manipulate any data on the formatted HDD till u recover the old data else the old data is overwritten.
Third, why u are not able to view files...Bcoz, the files that u are trying to recover are bad due to data corruption. U can check this on data status before trying to recover using any data recovery software u are using.

On a personal front, i like easeus...:)

Thanks to all...

I have tried many...
But not able to reach the success.

Finally i give up this after a period one week trying to recover the files i lost...

I dont wanna keep on trying and keep in mind under pressure...

I think its because of corrupted data ( i recovered and unable to open the files)

and once again thank u all TEs
