There is a limit to what we can do here. We can permanently ban the buyer or the seller and/or put him on a blacklist. However for that to happen one of you has to prove that the other is misleading.girish78 said:

make sure if possible to flash new bios for the sound card does it work not sure :S
also did your update the bios verison to lastest one
may sure disable onboard sound at bios and tried detect the card if work
i hear the sound gone kaptu boom due to lack while playing music
that why it is physician damage so while not replacement capacitor or some part not sure

^What's the harm in trying? At least ensure the card works with XP. Someone with the same card here's confirmed it has problems with Vista.
Just curious but what PSU did you hook this card into? Or does it not require a pwr connector?

Do you expect me to change my OS for a soundcard???? Will you change ur OS just for a sound card to work??? I dont think so.
He did not test the card before giving it to me. I had told him to test but he said it will work fine. So I took it trusting his words.
Blacklisting him is not the objective. My objective is very simple which is as follows :-
1. Get a redund
2. or Get someothing of equal value in exchange
3. If someone can make it work in Vista with all the settings as advertised in the card I will keep it.
Udit should have tested the card in front of me before giving it. That would have proved that his card was working but he did not do that. So I am forced to think that the card was faulty already when I took it.
If being Mods you offer limited help, then the whole purpose of bringing this matter to your attention was a waste. I thought I would get some help.

I changed the opamps in September 2008
used it till 15th March 2009 on vista ultimate 64bit

Did u urself do a little research before buying the card? Or did u just take Udit words for granted and did not consult with any site?
It sure looks like a compatibility issue and maybe not a hardware issue...:S

When you buy a hardware, you buy it for its feature and after your own research and not because some1 says something. If the card doesnt work on XP then its a cause of problem, but you are suppose to do all the t/s like updating your bios(sometimes) or changing your OS to the recommended one and what not to make it work. You are not buying from your local favourite dealer that if the hardware doesnt perform to your whims then you ask for a refund as simple as that.

Girish, there is no way that the facts can be verified and I dont think the mods can point a finger too at anyone without proof.
I think it is a lesson learnt if the card has gone bad. You should not trust anyone and insist on checking it if you are already at his place. I know you might have trusted him and discounted your urge to test keeping in mind his disability but you can clearly see that the same is not being dished out to you.
