This is the reason why I am personally against the "lowballing and discussions via PM" shit.If the buyer has nothing to hide then he should do the deal in the thread itself. This will keep a transparent approach to trading.Only PM the bank details and stuff. And immediately update the thread should be followed.

I hope both of you get your money back or atleast one of you the item in question.

How about using the cash on delivery option in dtdc ??

I used another number to make the call. This time the call was received and I talked to him. He has given me reassurance that the amount will be refunded. Now he says the amount was transferred using ICICI bank and not HDFC.

@both buyers,

if you are able to contact the seller tell him to deposit cash in your accounts if he is facing some problem with online transfer.

As far as member market is concerned, the buyer should be extra careful for his money is at risk ; can follow some self defined rules like:
1. restrict yourself to local deals unless you trust the other person.
2. if possible have that item checked by your friend who resides in seller city.
3. get extra details beforehand from seller like soft copy of some kind of address proof & PAN no. if amount is really huge.

How about you provide some constructive points?

If i have something to add, I will do that. Till than il keep quiet which is better than bringing up a point that has been discussed umpteen times and beaten to death and adds nothing to prevent this situation.

Then you shouldn't have posted altogether. [i.e. If you believe that a post adds no value to the forum then it should not be posted]

He has offered me to sell a "10 days old Samsung SPICA" for 11k now, asks me to transfer the balance amount to "lethal".

The phone (not his phone, the phone in general) looks good to me and but is it worth 11k firstly? (this is assuming he has the phone and everything as he says).

The way I figure it, he has spent the money and hence the delay, though he "wants" to return it, as he says.

Suggestions guys.

kniwor,

take the money man.who knows what condition the phone is .Have you not been bitten already. Why do you want to take the risk.

anyways its ur call.

cheers.

Grab it dude and u will have another reason to open a feedback thread:@

lol ...just get your money ... you want to send some more money ontop of the earlier money which has gone " missing " :P

Get the money dude. File an FIR, just bunk what he's said this is the best way to make insolent fools like him pay.

Why not put his Facebook profile here with his phone number with his name and address that way anyone searching his name on google would know how big a fraud he is. It doesn't matter if he can steal your money you have every right to reveal his identity.

However 'sweet' this deal sounds, common sense dictates that you opt out of this and get your money back instead of digging a deeper hole in which you have fallen.

In the end, its your call but someone who repeatedly gives dates for money transfer and doesnt see it through is not someone you would want to trust further unless he proves himself capable of gaining that trust eg. posting here or explaining to you the real or valid reason why he wasnt able to give the phone or refund the cash till now!

^^ +1, how can you deal with a guy against which you already have a feedback discussion going on and we all are banging head in hope that you'll receive your money.

Come on man, some times its not about just profit, credibility is important thing as well, what if you'll transfer the amount and found ur self in same sh*t again.

Guys chill... I don't even know if it's sweet or not and honestly I only wish for the money.

But, doesn't look like he's got it. Anyway, that's what I am trying to talk him into first.

My question wasn't that though. But looking at the situation now, I am asking him 7k which he is not responding to but he is willing to ship this phone. Of-course the balance amount I pay only when I get the phone. So if this is another scam, I end up asking 7k again. No worse than now. Which is what i needed suggestions on.

But I guess u folks are right. No more complications.

If I was in your situation I would have asked for the phone. He doesn't have cash, that is why he is delaying. Take the phone. You don't have to pay unless you receive the phone. Once you get it, pay him 4k and 7k to lethal

^+1. I agree. Get the phone as I think ur right bout him not having any money. Transfer the extra amount to Lethal only after u hv received the phone. This could be the fastest solution to ur problem.

Get your money back I'd say. Do you really even want that phone?

No, I have no use of that phone actually. It will go on sale on TE most probably. It sounds like a phone I can use but I don't need a phone for myself, but for my mom. And 5800 would have been a decent choice because my mom understands Nokia. Cant give her an android, can I? ..ha..ha...

I just wanted to give him enough chance before filing an FIR is all.

@Kniwor..

Mate take the money. dont complicate it.

But by seeing this i have to ask, did he actually transfer the money?. I think not.

If so i say take the phone. but only transfer the rest AFTER getting it.
