  • CPU - Intel i5 4690 is perfectly ok & will perform fantastically 15.6k or intel i5-4440 12.9k
  • Motherboard - Gigabyte H97 D3H is a Very Good budget performer 8.5 k or Gigabyte G1 Sniper B5 7.2k
  • RAM - Corsair Vengeance 2x4 GB (will be adding 2x4 GB soon. cant afford at this moment) 6.3k
  • GPU - Sapphire R9 270x DDR5 2GB 15.2k
  • PSU - Corsair HX 650 am personally using this & its a solid performer & comes with 7 years warranty & supports Crossfire too 8.7k or Seasonic M12II- 620 6.7k 5 years warranty
  • Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo not required as you are not overclocking
  • HDD - 1tb Wd blue or Seagate 1 tb barracuda both are good 4.2k
  • Cabinet - Corsair Carbide 400R is really an awesome cabinet & am personally using this from 2 1/2 years its running fine & going strong so can buy that with the saved cash from the TX3 evo 6.5k or HAF 912 advanced 5.8 k
  • Total 65 k or 58.3k

how much price difference between 4690 and 4690k?

h97 d3h is actually 7k where gigabyte g1 sniper b5 is almost 12k
seasonic m12ii is 6k
tx3 evo is 1.6k (for my own peace of mind that cpu is getting proper cooling 1.6k is actually fine)

these are online pricing. so i'm a little confused here. should i buy online or from shops?

hey thanks for the suggestions btw.

Hi soumyajit92,

I would like to add a word to help in build of PC. Here are some options for you.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor.
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard.
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory.
Storage: Western Digital Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive.
GPU: MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card.
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case.
PSU: Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply.

I believe these components are best for performance in video encoding and gaming based on your budget. Also, this configuration allows for overclocking, as long as you have a stable power supply and a good case. In build, MOBO is the support of CrossFire technology that means in the future you can add-on a second GPU card for performance, instead of buying a new MOBO or replacing a totally new GPU. The R9 270X is better in terms of performance, mostly used for gaming, video editing and provide the stability in graphics and with that you can enjoy better graphics.

Hope it helps.

will 500w be sufficient for crossfire in future? then i'm going with the seasonic m12ii 520, otherwise i have to take the 620, no option.

now i've to finalize a cabinet among these corsair 300r , corsair 400r or haf 912 advanced. thanks.

Can you please elaborate this 2 points in little more detail ? Like what nature of applications ? It might be possible to suggest some better or VFM combo.

1. 20+ tabs open, oracle server, virtual systems, photo and video editing

2. bluray muxing and remuxing, codec conversion and stuff.

1) .8k to 1k
2) 7k d3h model is microATX & 8.5k model is a proper ATX board
3) From where are you quoting these prices I don't find anywhere a seasonic m12ii 620 for 6k ?
4) If you want you can have it
5) you can buy online as you are getting good & discounted prices compared to normal shops
6) Bluray muxing can be much more faster with a nvidia card using there Cuda technology .

2) 7k d3h model is microATX & 8.5k model is a proper ATX board
how about if i go with asus h97 pro ? like the looks and has better audio support, i was planning to a buy a separate basic sound card previously. and it has oc facilities too i believe. not sure but.

flipkart?

i wish i could fit a gtx 760 within this budget but its already shooting sky-high for me so no luck :(

I think you can't overclock a 'k' series processor using a 'H97' board. I'm not 100% sure, experts please comment. Do check for that before buying....
Also i5 4690k + MSI z97 PC mate combo will cost around 24k.
Buy a decent monitor for 12-13k and get a good graphics card... Preferably nvidia since amd will generate a lot of heat.. im speaking with experience of using an amd card and then switching to a nvidia one..

1) The main difference is the ability to overclock., Z97 motherboards are specially made for 'k' series cpu's, they allow full oc abilities, H97 are 'non-oc' motherboards they only support Multiplier OC Not Base clocks.

2) Just checked that the same seller Overclockerszone selling for 6.7k on amazon.in

3) I will suggest you stretch a little & get GTX 760 that will satisfy you for the coming 3 years on Med to High settings

Can I know which amd gpu you are using ?
These days they run more cooler than previous old amd gpu's & on the performance front I also prefer Nvidia :)

In my first build I was using a Radeon 5770.... Along with an Phenom II x6 1055T... Temperatures were such that you could literally make an omlette.. :p
Slowly I upgraded to a better cabinet (cooler master 431 elite), better CPU cooler (antec a40), better GPU (gtx 660) and recently I got 4690k + z97 combo...

AMD setup had temperatures around 67-70C (CPU) on load... Dont remember the 5770 temperatures...
Right now I see only 52-55C (CPU) and 70-72C (GPU) max temperatures while gaming...
I'm impressed by the idle temp of 4690k... only 28-30C....

Intel CPU's run really cooler & they are very energy efficient too am using an i5 3550 with Asus Z77 MPro & planning to get GTX 970 this christmas on the cooling front am using stock cpu cooler with Corsair Carbide 400R with Corsair HX650 PSU .
Idle Temperatures are 28-30C on Gaming it will go upto 46-52C

JJ

okay fine, i'll get the asus z97 a if z series really worth it but it's exceeding my mobo budget by 4k which earlier was 10k for the asus h97 pro gaming mobo. so can you please help me adjust rest of the budget.

i wish i could man, but it's already reached around 64k so i may have to junk the idea of a gpu only as of now. i dont know still confused, where do i compromise? do i really need a 600w psu?

@soumyajit92 Are you really willing to OC your CPU ? Even at stock the mentioned chips are quite powerful.

Coming to PSU, stick with the S12 II 620w. PSU is one of core component in rig.

Hello All,

I dont intend to hijack this thread. However, My requirements are very similar to the OP's (sowmyajith's) except I am looking for an intense gaming for next 5 years.

Mods and experts, please suggest me should I create one more thread with requesting the build with AMD Fx 8530 series for a 24 inches sony bravia LED TV as Monitor.

I acknowledge bssunil and dark angel for earlier inputs.

Many thanks.

Creating a new thread will be a better option with your budget & requirements don't forget to use the template[DOUBLEPOST=1418283742][/DOUBLEPOST]

He mentioned that he will add a gpu latter for crossfire setup then the 520w PSU is enough ?
