Is the motherboard better than MSI z97 PC mate one? Any specific reason to chose the H97 board?

got the components, got it nstalled. now dont freak out, i know the gpu is in the wrong pcie slot cause the guy who assembled it is a piece of crap and unfortunately i coudnt be there at the time of installation. but i'll take my time and do it on my own and the entire cable management also.

now i have one more request. just have a look at the below configuration and tell me should i go with this or invest more to get an i5 4460+b85 combo. main aim here is to minimize cost without losing too much on processing and graphics department. will be keeping this for next 2-3 years.

or worth investing around extra 6k on i5 4460+b85 combo?

Never go with Asus 970A Series Mobo as it has very less power phases and not at all stable for a good OC.
Go with Gigabyte 970A-Ds3P Mobo, WD Caviar Blue 1TB, Corsair 200R, Corsair CX600, CyberPower BU1000VA UPS.

The only decent ones available in market are from deepcool but I don't think its worth spending 2-3k on a fan controller... Rather connect them directly to molex power connectors from the PSU... I have 3X120mm (90cfm cooler master) and 2X90mm (40-50cfm deepcool) fans in my system... of which 2X120mm and 2X90mm are directly connected to my PSU using molex connectors and only 1X120mm is connected to mobo...
Also my CPU cooler has a fan which is connected to the mobo...
The downside of this is that all the fans connected to the PSU directly will run at max RPM always... But I dont have any problem with that since it helps a lot in cooling and noise is not unbearable...

Dont use a fan controller because fans will spin slowly rather buy a 3pin PWM fan y adapter online or go with Deepcool fan hub.

personally im not a fan of "latest" models if there is no much improvement. i also dont care about the so-called "future proof" term which people seem to widely use it everywhere.
You said to minimize cost, so i would suggest FX4300. For the video card get something like the HD78XX. Older models yes but they still have good value.
And Kingston HyperX Blu/Red over Vengeance because of the latter's heat spreader and a Green drive over the Blue one if you still want to save more.

Rather connect them directly to molex power connectors from the PSU... .

I also did this when i used to have a pc.
