Decluttering a wallet + Wallet Recommendations

Gents of TE, please gather around and pour your views on the following:

1. Decluttering my wallet - A specific case for me that might or might not be of use to you.

2. Wallet recommendations - More specifically, something that is slim, can carry cards and 4 or 5 notes. I'm willing to pay a premium especially if it is a Buy It For Life product.

Now let's get cracking to the main post.

Try as I might I am unable to declutter my wallet, especially with regards to cards.

What I carry in my wallet vs Why I deem it necessary.

1. Aadhaar Card - Primary Identity document.
2. Driving Licence - For the traffic cops.
3.PAN Card - Because all the banks want it.
4. Organizational ID Card - Because I need it to get some respect in my organization.
5. Debit Card #1 - To withdraw money in an emergency.
6. Debit Card #2 - To withdraw money in case Debit Card #1 decides to stop working.
7. Credit Card #1 - A general purpose card for spends.
8. Credit Card #2 - A card in case Card #1 fails.
9. A few passport size photographs.

I also have a few more credit cards on my phone for tap to pay, but for large transactions, it makes sense to carry the card.

Also, all of these identity documents and all the credit cards are already on the phone, but should my phone die or be looted, I would prefer to have some means to get money rather than sit in a corner and cry and hope some poor soul lets me use their phone (Because if a stranger walked upto me and asked me for my phone, I would be extremely suspicious).

Now, that I have given my reasons, please counter my reasons and help me drop a few of these so that I can declutter my wallet.

Thank you gents. :D

Here's what I always have in ma wallet!

Driving License- Irrespective of when I might drive my car + I never know who will handover me their keys all of a sudden.
Debit Card - Icici- as it never fails!
Credit Card #1- Axis as it never fails!
Credit Card #2- Icici as it never fails!
Cash- 1k or so
Some change/coins!

And I reside in the most digital city aka the fastest grown digital city asap after demonetization where even a beggar begs with a gpay/paytm qr code, so I dont care if I carry cash or not. A phone is all what I need!

Thats it! No non-sense & definitely no additionals like wifes/gfs/kids/families pics/ condoms, visiting cards etc.

Optional, only when they are absolutely really required for some appointment:
Aadhar/PAN/Organizational ID Card/Passport size photographs.
Organizational ID Card: I always carry in my office bag.

You can skimp out on carrying PAN Card, Aadhaar Card. Soft copies are fine. You are carrying DL which should be fine as ID.
I have seen people carrying one phone case and stacking it up with Cards and Currency notes and they are happy. Cannot carry coins though. I prefer the traditional purse.
Looking at inputs here to upgrade if needed as well.

I have 2 questions for you,
1. How do you manage to get the right card out each time?

2. Don't the cards get weathered and damaged since all edges are exposed?

Thanks nRiTeCh and ?dOuBtFiRe?

I just realised that the Driving Licence can also serve as an identity proof.

I dislike my current wallet primarily because I hardly carry 5 notes of cash which has been sitting there for the last 6 months without any usage, for which 2 entire billfolds and a coin pouch are reserved.

1. My three most used cards have different colour edges so they're easy to spot
2. When i push the cards out I fan them out so they i can see which is which

I have switched to a daily wallet idea where I carry a max. of 4 cards, including ID, debit and credit card. It is superbly compact on account of that with a few notes and coins.

Switch to a normal wallet when away from the city as that is when I need multiple cards for backup, as otherwise I have all the card details available with me anyway for online use.

Won't Digilocker app take care of aadhar, pan card and probably driving license requirements ? Similarly Google pay / upi based pay methods in-place of one card.

One more app you need to have always, if you drive any vehicle is M-parivahan. It will take care of your DLs and RC including PUC, insurance and many other details, which Digilocker dont provide.
