Deep seek at least one correct answer :)

The US is not threatening India.
Are you sure about that?

Are you sure about that?
Yes. I meant militarily threatening btw.
Because it came up in his last term
This was the case in his last term. They should have stopped. Iran can be sanctioned. Not Russia.
To be worked out.

Same government handled him last time. I don't see any insurmountable problems for our government in his second term

India to host DeepSeek on local servers to address privacy concerns: IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, commended Chinese startup DeepSeek for disrupting the AI industry with its cost-effective approach. Speaking at an event, he highlighted how DeepSeek's success demonstrates that AI can be developed affordably even in India.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, has praised Chinese startup DeepSeek for shaking up the AI world with its budget-friendly approach. Speaking at an event in Odisha, he said DeepSeek’s success shows that AI can be built without spending a fortune—something India is also aiming for.
To tackle privacy concerns about DeepSeek, Vaishnaw assured that India would host the AI on its local servers, keeping data secure. His comments come as India pushes ahead with its $1.25 billion India AI mission, launched in March. This initiative is designed to support AI startups, drive innovation, and create India’s own AI model in the coming months.
As part of the plan, the government has set up 18,693 graphics processing units (GPUs) to boost computing power. Vaishnaw also announced a new AI safety institution to make sure AI is used responsibly.

DeepSeek has amazed the AI world by building a powerful model in just two months with less than $6 million, using Nvidia’s H800 chips. This proves that big AI breakthroughs do not always need big budgets.
The Chinese app recently surpassed OpenAI's ChatGPT in downloads on Apple's App Store, while the cost and performance of its tools have challenged industry assumptions that China was years behind U.S. competitors in the AI race.
Vaishnaw’s remarks have put the spotlight back on OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, who visited India last year and doubted whether an Indian team could build a strong AI model with just $10 million. His comments have been trending again after DeepSeek’s success.
"Some people question how much the government is spending on the India AI mission. But look at DeepSeek—$5.5 million and a really powerful model, all thanks to smart planning," Vaishnaw said.
Altman is set to visit India again on 5 February, while OpenAI is currently facing a court case in India over copyright issues with digital publishers. His visit is expected to spark fresh discussions about India’s AI journey.

While be it the West or China, all these innovations are being led by the private sector. The private capital is taking risks to innovate. They don’t wait for the government to give them handouts and subsidies to innovate.

But in India, For every failure of private sector, the blame goes to the government. I am baffled at how a rich merchant, no one can call a risk averse trader an entrepreneur, spent over ₹5000 crore on marriage of one of his sons, than to spend on innovating to make his business go global or become globally competitive or innovate for the country. Such Indian businessmen lack the capacity to take risks, and don’t have the potential to do anything disruptive. Everyone just looks upto the government to fill in the intellectual void of the private sector. Case in point is the stagnant GFCF of around 30% of GDP for past decade, despite the current government providing excess of sops to the private capital in form of tax concessions, low interest lending support, etc. The blame squarely falls on the private capital.

Some will say the infra is bad that’s why they don’t take risks. No one can deny that today infra is better than it was in 2010, that too private sector is receiving more sops than ever. Still, GFCF has gone down from 37% to around 30%, even under which the share of private sector has gone down, most of the capex is being done by the public sector. There is hardly any R&D expenditure done by them (25% of measly 0.7% of GDP), where as 90% of R&D expenditure (of 2 to 4% of GDP) is done by the private sector in China, US, and Israel.

This AI race has shown that India’s desire to become Vishwaguru will not be private led.

US probing whether DeepSeek got Nvidia chips in Singapore — despite export controls blocking sale: report

NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang Expected To Meet President Donald Trump Today, Likely Framing The Future Of The AI Markets

Source: https://wccftech.com/nvidia-ceo-jensen-huang-expected-to-meet-president-donald-trump-today/

How the meeting will end? Does Trump put tariffs on chips as well? Because this all talk of Deepseek making a great open source AI that rivals many has indeed developed it by getting nvidia's chips circumventing the santions put on it through Singapore may ultimately result in the ire being shown on Jensen. If this happens then again nvidia stock will plummet.

Following DeepSeek’s Continued Hype, OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Gov For U.S. Government Agencies To Help Boost Their Efficiency

Source: https://wccftech.com/following-deep...ment-agencies-to-help-boost-their-efficiency/

This desperation for both the OpenAI & US Gov might save the ass whipping of Jensen this time for illegally selling chips to Deepseek through Singapore. This will ultimately result in santions & tariffs quite quickly this time.

Then Finally see this one below: Its hilarious...

A more worrying discovery is that DeepSeek mentions that it stores data on servers in China, possibly presenting a security risk when Pentagon employees started playing around with the chatbot

DeepSeek has secured a “completely open” database that exposed user chat histories, API authentication keys, system logs, and other sensitive information, according to cloud security firm Wiz. The security researchers said they found the Chinese AI startup’s publicly accessible database in “minutes,” with no authentication required.

The exposed information was housed within an open-source data management system called ClickHouse and consisted of more than 1 million log lines. As noted by Wiz, the exposure “allowed for full database control and potential privilege escalation within the DeepSeek environment,” which could’ve given bad actors access to the startup’s internal systems. These findings were first reported by Wired.

Sorry if it's already been posted here before. Can't keep up with all the info on this AI model.
