Guys need help!
It's urgent.
I got this massage "Delayed Write Failed" while I was paying game.
Now my 500GB Seagate SATA 7200.12 HDD detecting in BIOS but not working.
Unable to copy from there.
Even unable to format.
Is there any way to backup my data now ?
Is my HDD totally dead ?
This HDD is a refurbished which I got after my new 500GB failed due to bad sectors...:(
Too much failure rate for Seagate HDDs.....:@
I want to save my DATA .....

Start safe mode and run "regedit". Expand the tree as below

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControl Set\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

find the "LargeSystemCache" setting, if it is set to "1", then change it back to "0". Do this and report back.

"LargeSystemCache" is set to 0 already.
But,I think my HDD gone kaput.....:(
Here is the screen shot:

@OP

Although the drive seems to have definitely gone bad, if you still want to check more then download the drive checking utility from WD's website (does not matter what brand your HDD is). For me too the first bell of caution was CRC errors while copying data from HDD to laptop and when i ran HD Tune i too got a high reallocated sector count number and hence decided to RMA it.

Some data can be copy now but rest of the data can't be copied still.

Got no choice.

Yea,I gonna RMA it.

At my 1st post I said wrong because it is a repaired HDD not refurbished.

The new HDD was the same bad sector problem and I got this HDD after RMA that one.

I have no hope.

Seagate will rape me again and will give me a same kind of fcking repaired HDD(which will gone kaput soon and all data will done) in the exchange of this HDD after RMA.

I can tell you from my last experience that Seagate RMA pain in a$$ in Kolkata.

Only waste of money and time for Seagate RMA.....:@

I must have to buy a new HDD.

This time I want try my luck on WD though I got no luck....:ashamed:

Maybe it's got something to do with your PSU or something then. HDD don't usually fail like this one after another. Maybe you PSU sends out spikes or something?
take the HDD to a friends place and see if it helps.

Lol

Them my Corsair VX450W may be sucks.

Any way to check if its true ?

I have no idea how to check a PSU.....:S

Please help me!

(Delayed write is a OS mechanism, it does not write to the files instantly when an application calls WriteFile; Instead it caches it and send it to disk using storage stack in some fix nano seconds interval.) Now when it tried to do that, and if write fails for ANY reason; you'll get the message that delayed write failed.

It could be because of hardware failure (which looks like the case here), or driver failure.

You may want to try seatools as well.

Dont test the PSU, try and salvage the drive. take it to a friends' and see if you can copy. If you can't, then claim replacement and complain or something.

Already did that.

Tried with my brother's PC and half of the DATA copied except one partition.

BTW,I sent the HDD for RMA 6 days ago.
