Hello All,

I intend to buy a Dell Laptop in India from dell.co.in
Saw a option to apply coupons, tried with coupons from US but not working. Can someone plz guide where I can find rebate coupons to purchase in India.

Thanks
Dips

Coupons system wil come soon.. but right now,,i think they r already offering @very low prices..
Personally, i dont think they'l offer coupons here cause most people wud find it complicated and all,, jus the common indian mentality...

there is a considerable discount if coupons are applied even when the prices are very low.. i think dell should offer coupons to everyone cos thats fair.. not just US site..

and if its complicated, then they can straight away give discounts to the rig if the amount of the whole system reaches say 50k .. more discount if the rig reaches 60k like wise..

there was a discount upto $425 on inspiron in october last 2 weeks.. n from 20th nov to 29th nov there was a discount of $300 on inspirons..

but for discount coupons we have to first have online purchase option on dell india site.. :(

infact just not in dell, but in HP as well.. there are coupons.. last i saw a discount coupon upto 30% of discounts on pavillion laptops..

but may be the indian system.. taxes, imports etc.. make this hard for them on one hand n on another.. the complexity it creates for Indian people.. also, comparatively less demand..

but still would like to see the replica of US site for india..

well just bought a laptop from dell.. they have this option of 0% tax if u r willin to wait three to four days more for delivery.. that reduced the price by around 2900, then when the dell representative called i told him the setup is exceedi my budget.. he reduced it by further 1900 total saving around 4800.. laptop came out to be around 71000.. when i chkd the same on dell usa site even after 300 dollars discount it comes to 68000 plus... so not bad....

btw mine is a pretty high config one... not sure if they willing reduce in the bread n butter models.. also read somewhere they r willin to reduce the price usually on month ends or year ends(to meet targets).. there's no harm in tryin... one more thing, maybe u can ask for some freebies to be thrown in as dell takes more than two weeks to deliver... which is sort of unacceptable...

And what do you mean by this?
Here, i wasnt talking abt people like us, but the normal public,,,Most of the time they wud like a straight price wid flat discount,,, nobody wud like to purchase a system and den find out that there was a massive discount,,,
In U.S. people wud consider it a missed opportunity,, but here we wud consider it cheating...lol:bleh:
Thats y i said that,,,Where most people think pentium 4 is still the best processor, and Pentium 5 is jus a few months away from launch, expecting them to search and find a discount coupon wud be an overkill..
