While not quite as exciting as March's week of Latitude scoops, we've got ourselves some infos on what look to be Dell's upcoming Inspiron 1435, 1535 and 1735 consumer laptops. Seems they'll all be sharing the same basic design language, pictured above, and will be privy to some rather expansive aesthetic customization options if you're into that type of thing. Specs are the typical Dell smorgasbord of options, but all three laptops start at around 1-inch thick and taper up to 1.5 inches thick. All three also sport slot-loading drives, with a Blu-ray option, and processors ramp up to Core 2 Duo T5850 2.16GHz chips. 3G options are also available across the lineup, and just about anything else you might find useful in a mid-range laptop. Apparently the 1435 isn't due until October, but the 1735 is coming on June 9 and the 1535 on the 26th of this month.

But I don't expect them coming soon.. to India
Thankfully, gone are the days we had to wait ages for new launches. 90% of stuff makes it here within a week or two.

yup, nowadays launches are pretty much same time. the vostro 12" was first launched in Japan, then it was actually available on the dell India site even before any US launch :P

hey something off topic ... can we upgrade from T2370 (dual-core) to any mobile Core2Duo(T5550 onwards) on dell 1525 ?

1 word: no

might b possible from dell service or aftermarket proccy f u can get from US etc, but it ll cost u like anything. not worth it :)

i got 2 gigs of ram but the proccy is dual core, so i fi upgrade the rams to 4 gigs, will it give me sufficient power as compared to the C2D ?

Eh ? :bshit:

The new dell vostro series is already available on the dell website :)

Actually I also mean for when the product would actually launch, not just in India. I agree that most stuff is available in indian as soon as it launches!

yup...most probably they will be available in india within a week of their launch...the pics look nice...might wait for them instead of getting the xps m1530...
