Hi Guys,

I just came across this forum and i absolutely loved it.
I cursed myself of not having found it earlier.
Never the less, found it now.
I have also read through a few postings and found that the people here are very much eager to help. Putting forward my case here.

Request you all to please advise me on this.

you can assemble a better one for the same price...

refer to TE Buying PC template & ask here or you can also have a look on TE PC Buying Guide November 09..

Hi Naveen,

Thanks for your reply.
Yeah, you are right. But, i have one more doubt. This might sound naive. But, will ask it fearlessly. Is there any place in Bangalore where i can get my desktop assembled and also get onsite service and maintenance. I'd get the best of both world's then.
(Better config + Service).

Hi Anks

Thats so nice of you. But, no thank you. I already have a friend of mine working at Dell. Will get the final pricing of the config by tomm.

Kane - No. i am not obsessed by Dell. hahaha. I am just weighing my options and being open minded as mentioned by one of the forum members. :) Its just that i am getting a geniune windows 7 premium and service/maintenance from dell. If there's anybody (assembled) to do give the service/maintenance for me, i want to get it assembled. Would also like to know how to assemble a pc as well. i am totally confused. :(

that video card is rubbish and the lcd is just 18.5 inches and you are paying 43k for that?

if you want vfm and warranty you should assemble a pc.dell would give you a year's warranty with their pc but you can get 3years to 5 years for each part if you assemble it.

branded desktops are dead and no one other than big offices or mnc's buy them now.

you could buy a much better pc with a much better config andz then spend ur money on a licensed copy of windows 7 professional or ultimate.

hmmm... That makes a lot of sense sunny boy. So, do u know of any dealer in bangalore where i can get the desktop assembled and also get an onsite service ? One of my friends suggested me Computer Warehouse on Barton Center, MG Road.

i don't think there is..

but why do you need onsite support  if you live in B'lore coz i suppose SC of every company will be there.. :cool2:

you can take the faulty product directly to the SC & get it RMA'ed..

another option is that you can ask the seller if he could do this for you..:)

ok . . . say, i can get all the peripherals from different shops, how can i gt it assembled ? i dont know how to do it. Its highly risky for me to try and do so. can i expect some help from my fellow bangaloreans ?

you dont have to assemble it most shops selling hardware would assemble a pc for free or for a nominal charge of 100rs -- here on techenclave we take immense pride in assembling our machines - i would rather you assemble your pc on your own.

btw what's with the sunny boy? its sunny27!
