Laptops Dell laptop battery?

Well my frnds dell lappy battery has gone bad..and he needs to get new..but have almost no idea...i guess he will visit croma today...else he will call their toll free number....
Any chances or reference to get it at low cost....?As he also underwent recession cut..50%salary degraded
 
dell batteries are pretty damn expensive... 4k for oem (if you know someone who can get it), 6k for a proper one. and it's unlikely your friend will find one off the shelf... it has to be ordered and can take a week or two to arrive.
