My friend a photo enthusiast very recently removed Vista and installed Home premium 64 bit on her Dell laptop.
Though the system works ok the display is getting corrupted after a lapse of time.Refreshing the screen some times works. Shutting down takes very long time or not at all. I have attached some snapshots.Kindly advice. thanks

Well that seems wired! First step try re-installing graphics driver. Second upgrade the BIOS. Third - Use some bootable unix distros like Ubuntu which does not need installation and see if graphics are good or not. Let me know the results.
