that it hurts is entirely my opinion. some others at work love it.

Hahaha, I understand. Earlier when I was using my keyboard on table I used to use palm-rest. Since I moved in new place 5 years back, I'm using my keyboard in tray... and I hate to pull it out too far while using palm rest (as you can see here), so I've been using it without palm-rest since then.

Frankly I don't care for Palm-rest, as I'm used to not using them... but I totally forgot to ask them about it when I mailed with other queries. Sorry guys!! :(

Now just hoping that it comes with palm rest.
(not that I'm going to use it, but for others)

Maybe you can donate me yours if you do not need it.... :ashamed: ;)

Sure mate... if it comes with palm-rest, then it's yours. :)

UPDATE: Received mine today (that was fast), but HailStonE no palm-rest came with mine. Sorry mate. :(

This KB is awesome... joy to type on, though I'll take little time to get used to the keys (my earlier keyboard had slightly wide-spread keys)... but frankly that's absolutely not a big deal. Did I say it's a joy to type on. :P

So I got it delivered today.

I like the multimedia functions of this keyboard but the key layout is weird. The keys are very cramped up, they're very close to each other. I keep hitting other keys :@

Pros:

1. Looks Cool

2. Nice MM functions

Cons:

1. No-palm rest

2. Cramped up keys

3. Low power USB 1.1 ports. Couldn't run the xbox 360 wired controller. I'm sure it wont be able to run any usb powered hdd's.

4. One of the stand was broken

5. Could be possible that this is refurbished.. Look at the pics below.

the area around the volume control and other keys looks scratched. On the box it says made in Malaysia RevA02, but behind the keyboard its a chinese make RevA00

Although the KB is working out of the box but there were no drivers shipped with the KB.

Also there is no onscreen volume indication:@

I have a feeling these are refurbished/second-hand.. anyone else got them yet?

^ Do u really need drivers for this thing?

Mine doesn't have any scratches anywhere and it's in mint condition.. Sorry couldn't post pics as my camera is not with me. Will post pics tomorrow night.

The USB hub on this keyboard is 1.1 and it's been said so in specs... other than using regular mouse and BT dongles etc. I don't see much point in using USB ports on keyboard.

I would agree on the slightly cramped layout of keyboard, as I had mentioned earlier in my post. It took me some time, but by now I'm pretty fine with using this. The feel of the keys on this is amazing and typing is really nice (once you get used to the layout that is). :)

You can always contact TheITDepot guys and tell them about condition of your keyboard, so far my interaction with them have been very smooth and I think you should try mailing them with pics.

I think i'm feeling bummed cuz I expected too much out of this thing.

There is no way of getting volume indicating onscreen display.

The only thing missing now is the palm rest.

also I found out Lite-on makes these for dell.

I too interested in getting this ..should I go for this Guys...People who have got it might tell their experience..Does this have any drivers problem???

Also do we get any CD with it?

I had got the UK version of this kb for around 500bucks with a palm rest (which is really essential imo), it's a good kb, though you may take some time getting used to the layout.

Since you are in Mumbai you could check out if it's still available at lammy.

The drivers are only required if you need the OSD display ... all the shortcut keys work without any additional software, however the media keys seem to work best only with windows media player.

Else check out the ms comfort curve (though more expensive)

@knoughtyd: These work without drivers. Like thexfactor said, drivers are only required if you want the OSD feedback. So far, the multimedia controls work in everything that I tried, including Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic HC and iTunes.

Personally I find OSD overrated... plus, I don't want another program running in background eating memory just to tell me my multimedia actions. :P

Besides at 460 rs. (575 including shipping), I think this is pretty good deal... off-course one would expect palm-rest to come with package. I don't mind as I don't use Palm-Rest.

ok I had a chat with ITDepot guys now and also showed them the pictures asking whether this was refurbished by any chance??

They said "yes he is right the images etc are accurate. The ones we have in stock is also the same, the distributor is providing 1year warranty and claims it as new, we will double check, meanwhile it maybe a better idea to deactivate the product"

so did they confirm it was refurbished:S

This is what they said when I asked

Please be reassured that we do not sell refurbished items as new. As you may have noticed in the message as soon as it was brought to our notice that the product maybe refurbished inspite of the distributor offering warranty we have deactivated the product.
Please do ship the product back to us immediately and we shall refund you including shipping charges.
Thank You

But the item is still active.
