PC Peripherals Dell ST2220L stand missing - what to do?

Got the ST2220L yesterday from devragj computers (dells distributor).Before i paid the cash i made the guy at the shop to check the monitor so he opened the the pack in front of me and tested it .Satisfied i paid the cash and when i opened the package i cant find the round metallic part of the stand ....this is the part that is missing :

Before i went home i only made one stop at my uncles house and showed them the monitor.Today morning i called my uncle he confirmed the missing part is not at his place.So definitely it must the guy at the shop who failed to put it back when he repacked it

So i called the DELL toll free number and explained the situation the lady told me to call back at monday as devraj computer is closed today.I asked the lady in the worst case senario will dell give me the stand ? she told me she cant give any assurance

If the shop guy stand his ground then i am in deep trouble as I cant use this brand new monitor without a stand .Will DELL give me a new stand ? i dont know what to do guys pls help!

note : the stand comes in 2 parts only the round part is missing .
 
Right now you cant do anything but approaching that dealer act nicely & speak smart and get the stand buddy...I think dell will give you the stand but they will charge for it..
 
Called devraj computers just now and as expected the shop boy is saying he did put the round part inside before sealing the package. I talked politely withoput showing my anger like advised here....he took my phone number and told me he would call me back thats it its been 3 hrs now he has not called

So called DELL toll free they asked for my order number and said they will investigate the matter.They also told me the round part of the stand is not available seperately and the dell guy told me they will speak to the distributor and if its found that during the packaging the stand was lost they will replace the whole monitor ...I am worried about the IF part....the dealer i am sure will say he packed everything before handing it over to me then what ? is DELL going to check the CCTV footage in the shop or what ? the whole process he said will take 20-25 days lol.I told him i will return the monitor personally to the distributor if it will speed up the process.He told me to wait till wednesday

I am dissapointed with the way devraj computers handles its customers ....once the sale is done they wash their hands off it seems.....should have gone with delta they provide awesome backup when you need them...i got greedy for 400 bucks and now paying the price....so people who are reading this pls dont buy from devraj computers chennai even if its cost a bit more go to delta .

its been 2 months now - they havent been able to send me a scanned copy of the bill of a product i bought from them . i have got excuses ranging from -

"the concerned person is not here " to sorry sir - we have no lights " - i mean WTF !!!

Go to Shop personally & talk with same guy in polite manner he may find YOUR monitor part which he may put here/there in hurry (if Devraj is too busy shop), allow him 2 days to find & if possible visit the shop after 48 hrs & again after 48hrs... may be he find in 2-4 days time.

Got the stand at last too tired to type now 12:14 AM here and i just came back all the way from chennai

Ashamed to say this but it was actually in my uncles house ....when i opened the package at his home it has somehow fallen behind the sofa and yesterday suddenly he called again and said he found something lol.The only good thing about this whole episode is my uncle has decided to get the same monitor for his daughter

I want to buy two APC UPS for my nephews.

Cause i had a backup series RS1000VA which was replaced 10+ times in 11 months ....i dont remember how many times APC replaced it after the 10th piece and finally the last one went to heaven with a huge bang

After the 6 th replacement APC told me to buy 2KVA digital stabilizer to protect their world best super duper UPS...... which i sadly did but still it was going kaput after few weeks .Finally they told me to go for a indian brand as their super duper backup series couldnt handle the voltage fluctuation in my area.So on the advise of APC bought a microtek 800VA double battery UPS which is working flawlessly...one great this about this microtek ups is my VX450 doesnt make the humming noise when in battery mode....APC used to make the corsair humm.It also doesnt switch over to battery whenever its AVR works ....the APC used to go to battery mode every time the voltage fluctuates and drain the battery and i dont need to tell you about the annoying beep do i

? When ever the power goes off i switch off the PC and use the microtek to power a 25W cfl lamp in the kitchen for a hour everyday....100% paisa vasool for me

will recommend this Microtek over any of the backup series from APC anyday .

I am not the only one to suffer like this there are many people like me jsut google around....also read the threads i started about my ordeal with APC.If there are lot of voltage fluctuations the backup series would go kaput ...if your area doesnt have this problem then you can safely go for it.

I bought mine for Rs 7500 the microtek cost me just Rs 2500 ....i am still dumb founded that a 2.5K desi product was able to out perform a super duper 7.5K APC

Note: This is about the backup series only their higher end smart series are said to be really good .
 
OP, it may be a good gasture from your side to call Devraj & say sorry to same guy about the whole episode

^ +1, #[member='sam000'], you should call Devraj, and imform him about the situation, else the DELL guys might contact him, and it might turn into another situation.
