Hey MohitPreet, I'm considering this model too! Could you help a fella out and ask your friend to confirm/rebuke if the 1450 has a synaptics touch pad?

I've seen the specs pdf from dell's website and it says synaptics drivers, but folks have run alps touch pads with synaptics drivers before. I really need someone to run everest/sisoft sandra to ID the hardware itself. I'd be wholly in your debt if u could do that!

about to buy studio 14 with following config

getting this plus laser mouse for 44800 rs ..... is this a good deal or should i bargain more?
 
Try to upgrade the resolution if possible.The base resolution of 720p sucks . Better take more warranty. Dell laptops give probs regardless of model (these days).
