Revert for any questions.

As far as the GFX card is concerned, the furthest you can go with the Dell, is the HD5470. You will also need to shift to a better proccy.

So for 55K, you get a lot more value out of the Vaio E-Series notebook, not to mention the preferred 14" screen.

Dell with the inclusion of the customization and warranty, is sure to cross your budget of 55K.

In this case, the choice is obvious? ;)

On a side note, have you personally seen/used these notebooks?

Thanks thetoxicmind

I have used studio15 with i5 and ATI 5470 some time ago, But as far as Sony e-series is concerned i did not use/see it.

Do you have any comments/information on the battery backup for Sony e-series?Like how long it is going to give back with surfing and games?

Regards,

rgrand

Sony vaio EA16 has good specs like the i5 cpu and Ati 5650 all packed in a slim and light package of 14 inch with killer looks:ohyeah: but you wont get good battery life as sony itself have mentioned 2.5 hrs which is under ideal conditions with lower brightness, normal web surfing and all, you wont get more than 1 hr of battery life while gaming at high brightness level. But apart from battery life everything else in this laptop is very good and suits your usage conditions and ofcourse its much better than the bulky dell studio 15:cool2:

The Vaio runs warm a lot sooner and offers lesser battery backup, compared to the Studio.

Like how long it is going to give back with surfing and games?

Not much, for games and wireless surfing.
