Laptops Dell Upgrades the XPS 15 and 17 Laptops

AMD had planned Dynamic SG for 6 series Mobility graphics cards according to the leaked slides earlier on. And I think that's one major reason why they won the Macbook Pro race. They might not be advertising because they want to sell off the older 5 series chips which have been rebadged as 63XX and 65XX respectively.

My friend has a HP dv6 with 5650, and the notebook needs some combined drivers package from HP for SG to work correctly. It takes atmost a second for the switching to occur, but its manual (unless some predefined setting like when `running on battery`)

Oh BTW, I asked a Dell rep and he said new XPS 15 are slated for March 1st week , but he was not entirely sure whether they are with SNB or not. (most probably they are, else why would they be new ?) So hold on guys.........

A.Not from the Canadian site; you can try the Indian one Dell

A.Costed me a total of ~$1500 free shipping i guess. You can check the details in my previous post.

A.I don't live in india so this doesn't apply to me. Sorry can't help you with that.

6.How long did yr laptop took to be shipped to yr place?
A.They say it may take upto 15 days to ship the order but I got mine within 4 days

P.S. Mine was NOT an international shipment. (I live in canada )

I have bough the XPS 15 on Day 1 on India Release.. .And never regretted for anything...
If anyone wanna buy new version,I say just go for it...

I bought the XPS 17 on the first day. TILL DATE, I have had NO problems with it. Built like a freaking fort. Performance like I have never known before. Damn, this baby is real good! Honestly, the first and only electronic purchase that I am really happy about. I am a very impatient man, hence I need good performance.
