Laptops Dell woes part 2: Truant support

After getting a laptop two weeks after the promised date with a defective mouse

The run of bad luck doesnt cease. Called up customer support who transferred me to technical support who took down the details and forwarded me to customer support. after waiting for several minutes, I lost range and got disconnected

I sent an email via Dell - Support anyway.

I was supposed to get a response within one business day, and i waited 2. On thursday I call them up, and I'm told that the case ID apparently belongs to someone else. Went through the whole runaround once more, and was asked to send photos of the product. Did that, and still no response.

I bought a dell because of all the great stories I've heard about the great support.

I guess it ain't great no more. Even after a whole month of paying the cash in full, I still have a semi functional product. This sucks
 
My dad bought a laptop from them and it also came one week late. Other than that, the customer support has been A+. They have answered all queries in time and even shipped a free bluetooth headset in no time!
 
Call them once more be ready with the pics, ask the guy to hold while you send the pics to his email id, ask for the complaint number first..

and do shout..

called up a support guy. said he could not find the new number in the system either. after shouting at him for a while, suddenly he was able to acess it. I will get a replacement in 6~7 business days.

I guess I need to shout at them more often. I just can't. I'm not a particularly agressive person :ashamed:
