Up for sale is recabled Denon D1001 headphone. I haven't been able to give these much time of late, but was holding on to this since it can be used directly out of laptop.

I guess the time has come to let these go.

I have modded it slightly to tame the loose mid-bass & to bring the mids up a bit with no untoward effect that I can make out.

These are overall balanced sounding - great bass(its a Denon after all!), good mids & extended treble.

Definitely worth a look for people who are interested in Denon D2k/D5k but are on a budget.

It has been recabled with mogami mini starquad cable & neutrik 3.5 mm plug.

There are some scratches on the cups (see pics) but otherwise the headphone are functionally perfect.
