Desk chair restoration.

I have this old chair, I bought it in England back in 2000 and it was manufactured in Germany, quality chairs are expensive.

I had given it to my watchman to use around 8 years ago, he looked after it well,

The base was too rusted so I bought a new one and casters, also the gas pump was rusted and fell apart when I removed it. I had some black cotton/polyester seat fabric left over from a job and was sufficient to cover the chair, a friend has a sofa business and had his staff recover the chair parts, I spent about 3 hours in total restoring the arm rests.

I'm quite happy with the result, it should serve me well for a few years and is an absolute necessity as I work from home.

Good but is the watchmen standing the whole day now?
I hope you or someone gave him some other chair as replacement to sit on.

He left the job, we have a part time fellow now and yes we got him another chair...

These casters are around 900-1200 INR on amazon.

Those were 870 for a set of 5, actually cheaper than from AliExpress. Some site called volo I think.

I want to change to these from my current black ones as they are starting to leave marks on the tiles when floor is mopped.

It will. These are just push and lock mechanism.

As long as yours are pin type 11mm nominal diameter.

Direct meaning offline? I'll try to measure the pin. Now I have to look up how to remove the old wheels without breaking anything.

Just grab them and pull hard. Vice-versa to install, line up the pin on the hole and push hard.

Just pull them out or use a screwdriver for leverage.

Replaced the wheels today. Couple of the old wheels came off easy but for the remaining three the plastic wheel came off from the stem. Had to apply oil and take the stem out from the base. The PU wheels are great so far. The toddler next door has taken to pushing around the chair everywhere lol
