Do i need to play the first Dues Ex and the second Dues Ex: Invisible War to get a hold on to Human Revolution? Or can i directly Start DE:HR? I know is a prequel to the 1st but still.

Also I don't care about the graphics as far as the gameplay is good and if the stories are linked the way that the first one need to be ended before the prequel. Plus I have absolutely No Idea about Dues Ex Gamplay, I havent even seen the gameplay trailer or anything.

Not really a pre-requisite, as I had not played the earlier titles and I still enjoyed Human Revolution and it is self contained, so made sense.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

A bit of trivia the protagonist for Deus Ex was cloned from Adam Jenson, who is the protagonist in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Thanks for the reply mate but I'll still wait for a few more comments. Cause if its worth playing the previous two before the HR then i will. I don't want this game to be like The Star Wars Series. I watched the Prequels first then when started IV God know how i completed it. 5th i watched for 30mins and thats it and my star wars saga is in dark. Although these two are far apart/Different things but I'm comparing them because when i play or watch a movie i want to find out every detail or where the story leads later on but then in some occasions graphics and visuals does matter. Going from Low-->High is fine but High-->Low is
<
So you see..

It goes like this

Deus Ex Human Rev -> Deus Ex -> Deus Ex invisible waR.

So you can follow this order or you can play Deus Ex first and then play Human Revolution next it ould still make sense..

Deus Ex is certainly best in the lot, although doesnt have stealth elements like in HR but the game shine in everything else..

P.s. DOnt try Invisible war at all, its crap!

Well, Deus Ex is one of the greatest games ever made. Deus Ex: HR is a very good game but gameplay falls a bit short of what the original achieved. You will need to decide which you want to play first based on whether you want to go from

dated graphics (Deus Ex) --> good graphics (Deus Ex: HR)

Or

very good game play (Deus Ex: HR) --> great game play (Deus Ex) [caveat - the shooting mechanics in the original game are a bit clunky]

You can skip Deus Ex: Invisible War. (Forget it even exists.)

When you play Deus Ex, downloads these mods. Make the game look much better.

PS: From the point of view of the story line, the order is not very important.

Actually its about the graphics i'm more concerned cause right now, i'm surfing about the game and i found it to be a huge success, the first one and the latest. Individual storylines i was asking are those worth it and i got the answer. I'll play Dues Ex first then Human Revolution. Should i really skip Invisible wars?

Ok started with Dues Ex 1. The games seems too old. But i'm just in the training are though. So, will post some thoughts about it after some time. Thanks Guys.

Did you try the HDTP addon? It may be worth a shot since the older models are replaced with high-def models so it could make the visuals a notch better.

Unfortunately the links do not open at my workplace. Will give it a try once I reach home but the HDTP did garner some good praise when it was out. I did not bother with it since I had completed DX long back. Actually I never knew this was an RPG when I had attempted it. Until recently i.e.
<

I felt best to avoid the Dues Ex completely. Partially coz i never played the old one and I had games that i liked to play the HR released. Good to see someone trying to play it now.
<

BTW, Altair from AC is my fav char

woaahh.. Splinter cell needs lots of patience.. and Half life is so yukky.. dude.. I must admit.. u have a varied taste of games and I never dared to play a horror game till date.. Y scaring the #$%& out of myself by paying for it ??
<

I love RPG's - Witcher being my all time fav, ME series (though dint touch ME3 - waiting for my new pc to be assembled), Fallout

Besides i like shooters like BC2 and BF3 (COD is so unrealistic according to me)

Even Battlefield series not a great tactical shooter, if you want to experience realism, please play ArmA series, Operation Flashpoint series and Red Orchestra II [especially the multiplayer].

Then you will see true warfare through the lens of a tactical shooter.

agreed.. But ArmA was too buggy to be played. Of course BC2 was a half baked cake when it released. Red Orchestra will be a good choice of game. Let me try that out.

Horror Game? These are not horror. Horror was Amnesia man. If you found this horror then god save you from pissing on seat while playing Amnesia.
<
I know how i completed that game. Dying to play the next one.

I would not comment on whether Bad Company 2 was half baked OR not, but I do agree the problem was how you had put it [CoD is unrealistic, but Battlefield is believable].

Yes do try Operation Flashpoint: DRAGON RISING and Red Orchestra 2. I personally have completed the campaign of OPF: DR it is a good tactical shooter.

Point noted, Sire. Cheers!!

I second that Amnesia and its predecessor Penumbra were true horror titles. Frictional Games has quite a reputation making games of this genre.

I dunno about Penumbra, Played a lil bit, way back on a friends system but amnesia was definitely awesome. Better than any horror game i've played.

wow, talk about a thread going off-topic!!

BTW, #[member='Altair'], its good that you have started playing the original Deus Ex. It was an amazing experience. It needs some patience at the start, dont give up before you get out of NY. It is an amazingly rewarding title, if you stick with it.
