aaah nice timing :P DJ has just got his X1900XT and then the Expert arrives....

Now, we can expect some super results with DJ + 1900XT + Geil TCCD + Opty...

hmmm...... just when i have ordered/bought it on the 15th (3 days back) ...:(
it should arrive here by mid-april.

Had waited 2 months to buy from ITDepot guys .....

Gimme the pricing ! Will consider if the RD580 isn't that good...

^^ @ deejay : From where and for how much did u buy ?

Just recieved a mail from Mr.Vinod saying

The Expert Pricing will be online today by the evening on the site and we have worked it to the minimum we would not have special price working anymore we have decided to pass on maximum benefit to customers in general.

You would see the change on all products

So no more spcl. Price guyz

DFI RS482 INFINITY : Rs.6815

DFI LANPARTY UT NF4 SLI-DR Expert : Rs.14312

DFI NF4X INFINITY : Rs.4742

DFI NF4 SLI INFINITY : Rs.8332

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D : Rs.9182

DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR : Rs.13774

DFI LANPARTY UT RDX200 CF-DR : Rs.14114

So no more special prices for TE members - thats bad news

Mr. Vinod is always hinting that the price of the expert will be "less" than SLI-DR. How much less ??
.
:P hehe expert is more than the SLI-DR

and now the warranty is only 2 years?
Warranty:
2 Year Manufacturer Warranty - Replacement

IMHO Asus Sli32 is much better

But for a die-hard oc'er, the DFI is still the best. More Vcore, more Vdimm, and more stability.... as proved by most of the top OC'ers in the worls

^^^That my friend is out there in open (asus has shown that without High volts it can be stable too)... but with peepz going opty and using UCCC(I see your sig too) and amazing BH5/UTT almost extinct from market... I dont think you/we really need insane amount of volts. Be realistic, here in India who has got a phase-change to chill the processor and who is ready to give his beand new opty 1.9V to clock it to max???? Also for same price you get SLIX16 which is a steap ahead. DFI has had it with same Chipset-Fan, Boring-Color and Insane prices. As far as I know with AM2 picture changes drasticially, DDR2 is too hot with 2.8V forget about 4V.

Warranty was always 2 years. There's no comparison between this and sli32. The former is for massive overclocking while the latter is meant for stable computing and maybe overclocking here and there. The Expert will give the best overclocks possible which no other board can even touch!

well i had always maintained that expert pricing will not be less than SLI-DR, despite what saiyan / freaky or Mr.Vinod hinted at ....;)

ps: It was good that i had the presence of mind to pick one up cheaply recently ...:)
if anybody wants it for say 12K ....then i would gladly part with it. :ohyeah: The stuff will arrive in mid-april. and full 2 yrs warranty will be applicable on it too.....

DFI m/b's are as stable as Asus. infact at the "same" clock speed the dfi will always be more or equally stable due to its superior bios support, Components used, and more importantly the general profile of the True DFI end-user. (meaning hardware enthusiast / fanatic) ;)

I agree that the DFI Expert is an excellent board but,

" latter is meant for stable computing and maybe overclocking here and there." - I beg to differ. :hap5:

Well for example, people all around the world are maxing out their DC Opty at say 2.7-2.8 GHz on air cooling. My Opty is stable at 2.7GHz 1:1,i wouldnt exactly call that "maybe overclocking here and there" .:cool2:

Basically what you are saying is correct but IMHO you have exaggerated the situation a bit.I can say this from experience i had using both DFI and Asus and not just by reading threads here and there.

equally stable due to its superior bios support,

Hey Deejay,i know DFI BIOS are extremely tweakable and that Oskar Wu releases BIOSes more frequently but I suggest you please mention that DFI Boards are not like, installed, assembled and you are set.

There have been people complaining of starting problem and highly unstable brand new DFI boards sometimes.

Havent seen that happen with Asus High End Boards.

My point here is that the DFI Board is good for a knowledgable enthusiast, isnt it ?

I hope you get my point.;)

^

I think they made a couple of price changes across all boards. Even the SLI-DR price seems to be down to the 13K mark from the earlier 14k.
