Hmm, in that case I stand corrected 
I have never built a HTPC rig, but if I would, an IGP solution would be my choice. If I want some light gaming, + media capabilities then a GPU is required, but I would prefer a mid end PC or a gaming console for the use.
Another aspect we are ignoring is the OEM market, a lot of office PC's are now in the Mini-ITX and M-ATX form factors, almost all of them use an IGP, its true DFI may not be targeting them, but looking at their current dire status, it would be an added advantage.
