The two connectors i have marked out... Are they required to be plugged in on a Ultra D board even if you are running a Single card... What if i dont plug them in cause i really hate the wire clutter it creates in the middle of the board...

They are only required for SLI I think. They are unnecessary for SLI as well if your cards feed off the PSU directly!

Hmmm... Thanks Chaos... Funky actually suggested me to plug them in for stablity... But i did 2.9 Prime stable 8 Hours without them... But plugged them in after funky's suggesstion... Lets see what others have to say... Anybody else...

@switch i agree with chaos. Unless ultra-d has any specific quirks, i dont think not using a floppy or molex connector should cause any stability issues.

Well i dint Connect them in the first place( i dint know i have to), so my comp dint boot after the bios when i gave 1.65vcore.. then funky told me to connect both of them and then my comp was stable at 1.65vcore and more...

Since u r having the zebby 540W i think you dint have any probelm, my SP 450W is only 20pins and hence i think i had problem, just my 2cents....

I am not 100% on this but i dont think both are for SLI. As far as i know they are there for max power supply to pheripherals and stability.

I have always had the connectors plugged in there. As with DFi i wont wana take any chance given the reputation of the board ;)

@Saiyan: your 6600gt eats power of pci express. Hence it'd help. With a card that has an external power connector, it really shouldn't be an issue! But anyway, nothing wrong in keeping it plugged. The expert boards do away with these connectors altogether. They only have the 24pin ATX and an 8pin EPS connector. Time to move on to expert ;)
