Forum Feedback Different logins for TechEnclave site and forum?

Recently, the TechEnclave site was changed a bit. Earlier, the login was available on TechEnclave main page, and was clearly visible. It was quite easy to login, and the login worked for both the main site and the forum.

It took me quite a while to find out the login link on the main TE page now, after the change. However, the login is now not working. I am entering the same username and password as the TE forum, and that should work, but it isn't. It tells that my password is wrong. What's the problem?o_O
 
on similar note, my TE portal log in doesn't work, nor does the "forget password" mail. So no link to reset the password
 
Not sure what the problem is, but it might be because the main portal is wordpress based. I had to use the forgot password option to get a link to reset the password. Now I can log in without any problems.[DOUBLEPOST=1365252969][/DOUBLEPOST]@ayanavish It works fine. At least for me, it did.

Yes the login and registration are different for the forum. Currently there is no way to integrate that. This is something planned in the coming months.

But before the recent forum change, I was able to login from the main site using my current credentials. I used to login to the main site, and then when I moved to the forum, I was automatically logged in there too. So, it definitely used to work before. Something broke with the recent change I think.[DOUBLEPOST=1365326086][/DOUBLEPOST]

Did you check the spam folder?

It is not working now because it used to work earlier. If it were not in place before the forum change it would have worked after it. :P
 
Any progress on this one? Any chance of the same login working on both forum and main site? Because it used to work before, so it will be good if it got working again.

I wanted to post a comment on an article suggesting something, but could not because of this login problem. Would not recognize my login on the main site, and so cannot leave a comment.

Anyways, I have put the suggestion here in this forum meanwhile.

Thanks :). Well, I don't use FB much nowadays. Anyways, good to know of an option.
