Forum Feedback Disappointed because of the Admins

This thread involves a minuscule matter of activation of an account, and primarily is to concern the Administrators of TE (Safin and Apex)

Username of the concerned : theDemonHunter

Eight Days ago, I suggested TE to one of my friends and he filled out the registration form and did all that was required and necessary to do get his account up and working. Two days passed by and he never got any e-mail regarding his registration here, so I thought of asking the staff so I PM'ed Renegade who told me that it was upto the admins to take care of this issue and so he forwarded the message to Safin and Apex. I really expected a reply from them..but unfortunately I never got any till date, neither has my friend got any news of his registration here at TE.

I don't understand as to why it is taking so much time for a simple task such as this. I really feel disappointing as I never thought of the staff here to be inefficient in their work. I really am curious to know the reason for this uncalled for delay.

I really hope that now via the means of this thread this issue is taken into notice by the Admins and I get some explanation or I see a movement in the activation of my friends account.
 
well, as you might be knowing, Admins are busy persons.

btw, did your friend check the mail's spam / junk folder ...

Yeah, I know that..that is why I waited 8-9 days before creating this thread.
 
LOL admins have other work and not just TE. They'd approve it as and when they find time.

Move on.

Hmm....okay then. Mods or whatever you call them can delete this thread then. I really have then wasted my time.

Sorry, I apologize for the annoyance I caused the members.

One more thing, are have they not been coming online since the past 8-9 days and nobody has been able to register here fully?

I thought that this was unusual, but now it seems like this is usual and it does take this much time or maybe more.
 
Seriously this is not a paid forum.Members dont pay and get registered. We simply cannot demand anything here as a right !

This is free for all Forum where similar member share tech and life. I don't think we can really pressurize Admins into approving accounts or be harsh for they not being able to do so.

Ask your friend to reregister once again and this time use different mail Id preferably from different service provider.

I think it will work. You could always try.

Yeah, I got your point. I do not think that im pressurizing them here into activating his account, just wanted some info on the status. I get it now that it is unreal for me to expect quick action from them as there is no such obligation to do so. :)

No need to re-register please. Just hold on and the accounts will get approved
 
Simply, DO NOT REGISTER or FORGET IT, everyone has a life, people move on here & so should you ..........

it is what he has to be told ??????
 
Whats wrong with you guys? He did wait 8-9 days and only then raised this complaint. If anything its constructive criticism.

Strange reply!!!! You make it sound as if Admins dont care much about new registrations(which ofcourse is not the case)
 
^There's nothing strange here. I for one, know what Safin and Apex does during the day apart from TE. Unlike admins of other forums who can spend the entire day there just because they have absolutely nothing to do. Many seem to think that they are paid because they are admins.
 
Our admins have regular jobs just like some of us. They are also human beings just like all of us. Have little patience and the needful will be done. Something might've come up due to which they might be caught up.

Well the guy had a genuine issue so no need to be condescending over it(which you project with that reply) just because you know what the admins do during their day time and he doesn't.
