disconnecting on gtalk frequently

have been facing this problem for some time now... gtalk keeps singing in and out time and again. i even get downloads failing mid way.

beetel 220bxi >> buffalo whr-g125 > ddwrt >> ibm z60m winxp sp2 wifi >> gtalk

the signal strength is excellent as the router is like 7ft away most of the times...

adsl data from the modem attached... can anyone help make this better !

Check ur connection quality, loose wires etc can cause packet loss and hence disconnection. Used to happen with me, got my wiring changed and it was fine after that.
 
If u have a desktop use wired connection OR switch to yahoo/skype. Much stable!

Yahoo OR Skype is your answer... i never liked gtalk because of the same problem u r facing!
