Disconnection problem with mtnl 3g

I have 6 months 4500 rs plan, but the net is getting disconnected by itself again and again:@. Please suggest some solution for this very annoying problem.
 
I noticed that I was not getting their mobile service today. But a quick reboot fixed everything. Contact the CC and try and work it out with them. Which modem are you using?
 
Then that could very well be your problem. MTNL modems are known to have issues. The MTNL rep told me clearly that I should get my own modem and use it with their SIM, as the ones they supply are very shitty.
 
This is problem faced by several users, it happens sometime, log your compliant with CC, once they receive too many complaints then only they will know that problem is at their end...
 
But in my case it disconnects every 10-15 miutes. God this is so annoying. Please suggest me some other modem and also can i return the MTNL their modem?
 
Get the Huawei E122, or UMG 1831 if you want to future proof yourself for if and when MTNL upgrades their infrastructure.
 
Please tell me the prices and place to buy the above mentioned modems.

And also can i return the MTNL modem back and get some kind of refund or something like that???
 
I don't know about the refund. You should ask the CC about it.

eBay is your best bet at finding those modems. Refer to some of the previously popular threads regarding their details before you spend your money.

Oh and did you talk to the CC about your disconnection issue? Try and work it out with them first, the modem could just be one of the problems.
 
Did this problem start recently or it has been there from the time you took the connection.

I had a similar problem on BSNL 3G but it was happening only in my area. I checked it at a friend's place and there were no issues. Anyway after 2-3 weeks the problem got resolved automatically. So it maybe an issue with the network in your area.
 
YOur modem is not faulty, I am also having same issue, it is the problem from MTNL network...

My connection also get disconnected withing 20 minutes, but Today morning it worked for like 2 hours at a stretch then again started disconnecting...

Don;t worry about modem but talk to CC and raise a complaint about disconnection

@varkey yup the problem started recently about 4-5 days ago.
 
Since Yesterday it is stable, runs without disconnection for 2-3 hours, Disconnection after 2-3 hours is something I am experiencing since I started using it...

Sometime it works even for 10 hours without disconnection
 
In mumbai i do see this occasional disconnection happening in my area.
Have selected the autoconnect option plus i download only from servers which support resume so not a big problem for me. :)
